one way is to get a furutech GT2 usb cable...its got a fuller more bodacious sound than stock usb cable.

another way is to mod a leather earpad instead of the velor.
( using a jmoney denonpad, or a lawtonpad )

Now I never ever had a problem with the high screeching treble like some have complained about on these headphones. The alpha pads probably would help that regardless and certainly help the already amazing thump.

Two years and counting with these awesome Pro 900s. Is there even now any serious competition for basshead use?

You should hear them with Alpha pads.....wow.

I've got a pair of Darth Beyers arriving in a few days I feel may be at the Pro900 level. If so I'll be a happy man. We shall see.

Where to get alpha pads?

I have been trying to find a good amp for the Ultrasone 900's. Some people say Fiio e9 then some say stay away from fiio. I need a good desktop amp and i'm pretty lost. How about the Aune T1? I am running them through a focusrite 2i2 and the sound is lowwwwwwww def gotta find something to drive them.

I'm driving it with a vintage Kenwood integrated amp from 1978.  Sounds wonderful.  Since you're looking for desktop, may want to consider vintage.

I am interested to hear any experiences with this pairing too. It's one of the three that I am looking into, the Audio GD NFB-11.32.

How are these compared to the Pro 2900 or HFI 2400
I like to play games with big explosions so I would like the boom. I also like dubstep but dont like muddy bass. I listen to all kinds of music so like trap, chillstep, drum and bass, rock, hip hop, RnB, Electronic like Daft Punk, EDM, and punk rock and those types.
