Ultimate Ears UE 900 Discussion and Impressions Thread

I just got the UE 900's. Because of their low profile when they are inserted I don't have the same ear fatigue I got from other IEMS. Moreover, I can listen when lying in bed with my head turned to the side on the pillow and I have no discomfort with the UE900's in my ear

Some major chain electronic stores in Hong Kong, at least Broadway, are selling UE900 (should be UE900 but not UE900s, but i didn't observe clearly) at HKD 2199 which is approx USD250. Only that as fellow head-fiers point out if they are broken you might be forced to get some Logitech stuff you don't want as replacement under warranty...

Can anyone recommend the best tips for a good seal with these?  I just tried using the stock rubber eartips, but not fitted over the rib, and the insertion is deeper and this is the first time I have had a good seal with these.  The bass is finally where I want it to be.

Are there longer tips that will let me run them over the rib and still get the deep insertion?

BTW, why do people in this thread reference Comply T 500 when the Comply website specifically asks for T 200?

No more any "Logitech" logo on the box? Like it.

That's right!  Btw, as everybody probably already aware, UE900s and CIEM are their own remaining earphone offering.  Everything else has been canned.

Is it safe to say that Logitech killed UE yet? If not, when will it be?

Logitech tried pushing UE in a direction it may not have needed to go :p  We'll see what happens.  The UE 900 are great IEMs, but there were build issues, hopefully they tide over :/

Will be getting a silver-plated OFC replacement cable from Lunashops soon, and will post my impression once I have it.  I have used RC-SE1 from FiiO and sound improvement was noticeable but microphonics and cable stiffness made it a bit painful.  I already used the same cable from lunashops on my IM03 (top build quality and noticeable sound improvement), this one should be the same with mmcx connector.

Waiting for your impressions! I matched mine with cadence cable and the improvements is really sweet!

For now my preferred cable is Oyaide HPC-SE. Less microphics and less springy than the FiiO cable.
@twister6 can you give us a link to the specific cable?

Lunashops is building a prototype for me to test and to review, so it should be available very soon.  I was told the cable is going to be the same as the one I reviewed for ATH-IMxx series here: http://www.head-fi.org/t/705687/review-of-audio-technica-ath-im01-ath-im02-ath-im03-ath-im04-ath-im50-ath-im70/795#post_10734593

Will know for sure once I receive it.

A pair of the actual UE 900s with the blue unibody should be arriving at my house today. Unfortunately, I will be unable to mess around with them until Sunday.

Hey everyone here who loves UE.
I received my UE900s today which I ordered from logitech site directly.
I took some pictures but I can't upload here.
I am pretty sure Logitech replaced UE900s to Japanese version which is UE900s should be, after I compare many pictures here with my UE900s.

Every UE lover here go to get it from logitech website. =)

BTW UE900s sounds very great like a monster.
