haha no offense to any who have these, but the xb500's are ugly as ever in my opinion, just look at those giant donuts! I could never be seen with those in public...

If you've ever tried them on, they're so comfortable that you won't care what other people think of you. And I mean SOOOO comfortable.

until you stand in 100 degree weather

I had the XB700's and I can say they really didn't get that hot. Not once did I get sweaty ears.

Then again that might be because the bass is pulling in so much air there's no way it could get hot.

From a designer's point of view, I think that the HD800 is the worst attempt, simply because of the built hype and the extreme pretentiousness of the design team in aiming for uber high tech looking cans, without understanding that the materials at their budgetary disposition were not high tech.

!!!!!!!!!!The HD800 are the most FAKE LOOKING and OVER-DESIGNED headphones ever!!!!!!!!!!!

I should add that I own a pair... though I might sell it ....

Agree on this one. They look really ugly. On the other hand I think K1000's are some of the coolest looking 'phones out there. :p
