Hi, just bought my first set of decent headphones in the Alessandro MS1i which I have modded into the MS1000 and am overall happy with the look, feel and sound. However one thing is bugging me, after the cable splits at the Y section, the cable on the right has a small kink/twist on the cable. It only appears to be on the rubber sheath but was wondering if this would affect the sound in anyway. Normally if bought from a shop I'd take them back but I'm from the UK and had to wait 21 days plus pay import tax on them so if it's only cosmetic I guess I can live with it. Do you think a kink like this normally effects the sound quality from the headphone?

Almost all grados have that small kink at the y split. I have them, and I see many grados here that have pictures with the crimp too.
