Hmm, I disagree. Technically, it's the opposite of a falsity. A lie can be true. Here's an example:

There are no hamsters in New Zealand.
However, Hamish believes that there are hamsters in NZ.
Seeking to deceive, Hamish tells Anna that there are no hamsters in NZ.
That is, Hamish tells a lie to Anna.
However, the proposition Hamish presents is the truth.
That is, Hamish tells a lie that is true.

Why was it off topic? I was disagreeing with the opposition between "truth" and "lie."

Is not "there is no truth" (and such propositions) itself a truth claim, that rests on the assumption that propositions can be actually true or actually false?
