Why was it off topic? I was disagreeing with the opposition between "truth" and "lie."

Also, if you provide me with examples where I do not answer the OP, I'll be glad to correct myself.

How about 5 words or less on what Truth is:

Subjective, even in the past.

That which is the case.

It's just the correspondence theory of truth. A proposition, p, is true if and only if it corresponds to some fact. Or p is true if and only if it corresponds to some state of affairs that obtains.

There you go.

In summary:
Topic:
Truth in 5 words or less
What people are suppose to reply with:
Truth in 5 words or less NOT the extra mumbo jumbo you said after your reply.

Truth: Keep It Clean And Simple :p

Ah, I didn't see a "no commentary" sign. In fact, I still don't. I did provide my definition in 5 words or less, and didn't realize that saying more was wrong. I'm still not sure it is, you know, since your additional comments imply that you think it's OK.

When an exam question ask you to answer either "True or False", do you just answer true or false, or do you add in what you think should be in, even though the question didn't ask for an explanation.

I did not say it is wrong, I'm implying that it's redundant and look what it has done, cause conflict.

The fact that people are replying to your "additional" comments is already conflict being formed.

Replying entails conflict?
