I've been enjoying my Icarus III's but I thought I'd share this little Master-mod. I really wasn't feeling the super shine so I took off the faceplates and used a little bit of 400 grit sandpaper to take the finish down a notch or two. They're not perfect but I'm happy with the result and I actually think they somehow more expensive or refined?

(obviously the pics show one stock and one matte earphone. If anyone tries this I would recommend not removing the filters to ensure that no dust gets into the shells.)

I got a case as well - was not inside the box. It isn't big enough.
Any advice for an inexpensive case, preferably available from Amazon?

I'm using one of THESE CASES now for each of the Master and Icarus III. Just remove the little foam insert and the case is perfect size for their newer IEMs.

Both cables that came with mine have a single 3.5mm termination. How can one be balanced when you need 2 3.5mm terminations? Or at least that is what I need with my Pono Player.

If you look carefully at the connectors the balanced connector has an extra ring where right and left channels both positive and negative are connected. With a SE connector the negative of bothe right and left are connected to ground (sleeve). Pono just separated the right and left channels so that they can use the SE connectors. With left positive and negative going to one SE connector and right to the other. I'm guessing here as I've really not looked into it but believe Pono just does not connect anything to the ground (sleeve) terminal. Hope this helps.

Thank You for the explanation. Had the non balanced cable connected to my Pono Player working fine, but will switch cables. You learn something new everyday!

Can anyone please point me to links or good reviews for the PM6? I'm pretty keen. If anyone currently owning it also reply with their quick impressions, i would appreciate it!

EDIT:

I just started to back read the thread...quite the awful feedback on Trinity's service...will hold back interest for now.
