Update via Trinity Audio's Blog

So we wanted to take a paragraph or two to explain what we have been through but have not communicated properly. Many (not all) know that the Master 6 and Hunter went through a long testing and development period which included community feedback. There have been many changes to how we produce the correct sound to make sure everyone eventually got something cohesive. This involved some tweaking of the dynamic drivers as well as a huge amount of work on the tuning filters to give the best range of tuning options.
All started well and production was underway. After a few hundred shells we was told that they had stopped production as it was far more costly and complex and that they would ship us the shells they had made but under no circumstances would they make any more unless we was prepared to pay quadruple the cost with a 6 month lead time as they had to pull to many guys off other work.

So we built all we could for those that pre-ordered (Many dealers had also pre-ordered) and shipped what we could. However we was still left with the balance left to make, so yet again we went on another frustrating journey of trying to find another specialist , it took almost 6 more weeks of back and forth of phone calls, emails and cad files going back and forth before we found another manufacturer although the cost was double of the original budget, however we could not wait and keep looking any longer.

_
. In regards to the Atlas Delta we have shipped the vast majority but have spotted some QC issues in the last batch and so we are substituting your order for the Master (many have been emailed directly), which is a great upgrade from the Atlas- Delta and is of course no extra cost to you.
The Balance of Master 6 and Hunter are shipping and orders now cannot be cancelled without penalty.

Huh? Who has received a completed Hunter and Atlas-Delta? is it possible to have one of the customers post some thoughts?

SO the basic message for PM6 and Hunter is that they still claim to have shipped (nobody got nothing) and the only real news is that now if we ask for a refund we loose 30%. So I guess they played me again saying today shipping to avoid a full refund! Horrible.

I am really sorry about that.

Same here, been asking for a tracking number for over a week on a daily basis and being told tomorrow repeatedly.

Bunch of effing conmen. Putting the penalty on a cancellation now seems fraudulent.

No matter how good the Hunter turns out to be they have lost the last vestige of credibility they had. Shame on them.

What? They don't have a 14 day money back policy anymore? You can't cancel the order but I'm sure the 14 days return is still valid by law.

That is a gray line law, difficult to enforce. The update on Air made me happy (the start of an honest conversation) and the email is just bla bla following on some of the lies and go back on their promise of full refund no hunter and pm6 (except for KS).

They had it on their website stating if for any reason you are unhappy you have a 14 day full refund option verbiage. I don't believe anyone in the industry can make anyone keep an item they are not happy with if fit or other is an issue if you can return the item in it's original undamaged state.

Well i work in production, understand that stuff can go wrong and for me they have always delivered in the end.
I have always been happy with the outcome and i would still support them .
That said i see all sides on this one.

I agree. I see both sides too. I'm sure they learned a lot from all this (hopefully) and as stated will make changes and have, but that will yet be seen (hopefully). I will still back them also.

We have no reason to believe that they knew in January that it was going to take this long. My personal belief is that something was uncovered during the QA process and they needed to remake a particular component. These sort of issues are very hard to estimate and I think that they have consistently believed themselves that they can optimistically meet their various published dates but have been let down by external companies.

Or it could be something completely different. I guess Bob will clear it up with his update.
I suspected the same, and awaited update that came by the email almost an hour ago confirms this...

Again, this kind of clear explanation 4 months ago would have prevented much of the speculation and anger.
I appreciate the difficulties they have encountered and I am hopeful that I will like the Master which I am now supposedly getting instead of the Atlas-Delta.
I still am concerned with the suggestion that most of the A-D have already shipped. Until many of them appear in the wild, I will find that a very suspicious statement. Hasn't there been some instagram pictures of every other model put up before they shipped?

That and the claim they have shipped pm6 and hunter makes this email much less credible and, at least for me, feels like another half truth (to be polite) to justify putting back refund penalties. They have not shipped a single pm6/hunter and have dragged people at the edge of asking for a refund long enough to put the penalty back

Of all that things about titanium shells... What does apply to the pm6? Suddenly they changed the materials? Or there is no explanation there about the delay of the pm6?
And I would love to know who is hiding the AD and pm6 and hunters sent months ago...
Not happy with the clarity of this update :frowning2:
