KS update:

Hi Backers

As you know a couple of weeks ago we advised we was looking into some dropout issues and also some people had experienced the battery not lasting long enough.

It has taken a little longer to work through the issues and solve the problems.

In regards to the battery issues we have found some inconsistencies with the cell size which we was not aware of, in order to solve this problem we have teamed up with Varta one of the worlds largest battery manufacturers to get the best battery performance for the size possible.

So what does this mean for you backers? Well we pride ourselves on offering the best products we can and this has not met either ours or some of yours expectations and this just won't do.

So we are remaking the whole batch again with the Varta batteries and an added bud to bud clip on cable that will offer extra security and can be hung around the neck when not in use, this will also stop any dropout from bud to bud due to any environmental and human factors, for those that don't need it you don't have to use it.

We are sorry this has added a delay but it has to be right for everyone and a product we can all be proud of.

We have to confirm a couple of details over the next week and we can then advise the shipping date.

Please note that of course there is zero additional cost to any backers and we are absorbing this cost.

When these are finished we will ship them as well as the originals (to those that we haven't shipped).

To any backers who opted for Master 6 they are now shipping.

Thank you to everyone for your support.

Sorry that is not good news for ks backers! I'm sure these were meant to be WIRELESS!!!!

Most people have dropouts going by comments.

What.

It's good news that they're working on the issues. As for the cable to "fix" the dropouts, I hope it won't be their only solution and that they'll bonify the internal antenna as well, otherwise as you said, it won't be a TW bud setup anymore, thus their campaign has failed to deliver expected value.

I'm sure KS backers will rip them a new one with the info they gave, I'm still happy with the provided update. :p

They will be wireless, wireless connection to source. How many Bluetooth buds have this cable? The vast majority I believe.

Trinity did not have to solve this issue (technically they didn't, I accept the argument that morally, they should), yet they are and that still doesn't seem to be enough for some. Madness.

Madness? that I backed a completely wireless iem that was already a year in development with a new fix that resulted in a 80% less dropouts than competitors.

And now there fix is a wire to join them together? But I have no right to be peeved?

I'm glad I had a refund pm6.

I'm sure glad I have no other money tied up in this firm.

Update via Trinity Audio's Blog

Hello Trinity customers and supporters,
_
Wow 2017 has been a tough year for us all.
_
You guys have been immensely supportive far over and above perhaps what we deserve, especially those that pre-ordered the Master 6 and Hunter. Sadly we have been massively delayed at almost every step of the way from driver supply times and the immense amount of time to build titanium shells.
_
So we wanted to take a paragraph or two to explain what we have been through but have not communicated properly. Many (not all) know that the Master 6 and Hunter went through a long testing and development period which included community feedback. There have been many changes to how we produce the correct sound to make sure everyone eventually got something cohesive. This involved some tweaking of the dynamic drivers as well as a huge amount of work on the tuning filters to give the best range of tuning options.
-
As you can imagine we had sourced supply of components as well as metal specialist to make our titanium shells, sadly when the time came to make the shells the engineering firm refused to take our order advising that all of a sudden they could not make them which as you can imagine left us in a difficult situation of finding another metal engineering firm with the ability to make these very small titanium shells with complex internal shapes. After speaking to huge amounts of firms both locally and worldwide we eventually found a firm that could build for us within the original budget. All started well and production was underway. After a few hundred shells we was told that they had stopped production as it was far more costly and complex and that they would ship us the shells they had made but under no circumstances would they make any more unless we was prepared to pay quadruple the cost with a 6 month lead time as they had to pull to many guys off other work.
-
So we built all we could for those that pre-ordered (Many dealers had also pre-ordered) and shipped what we could. However we was still left with the balance left to make, so yet again we went on another frustrating journey of trying to find another specialist , it took almost 6 more weeks of back and forth of phone calls, emails and cad files going back and forth before we found another manufacturer although the cost was double of the original budget, however we could not wait and keep looking any longer.
_
The delays have been nerve shredding for us, we are a small company and things like this can be a cruel form of torture and much the same for those that pre-ordered.
_

Well whats the point in all our waffle above, its just to give you a little insight to what has been going off behind these scenes and acknowledge that we know all too well that we haven't handled any of it very well. However in the past 3-4 weeks we have been working to resolve many issues. First big issue is how we handle shipping when we end up with a perfect storm of huge amounts of orders, well we have now invested in more staff (shipping and customer service) and additional training and are investing in new software and hardware to streamline the process which should mean we can handle things a hell of a lot easier. Secondly we are investing in a greater stock holding and working towards a time when pre-orders no longer exist.
All Masters, Vyrus V2 have been shipped and we are just finalising the last of the Deltas. In regards to the Atlas Delta we have shipped the vast majority but have spotted some QC issues in the last batch and so we are substituting your order for the Master (many have been emailed directly), which is a great upgrade from the Atlas- Delta and is of course no extra cost to you.
The Balance of Master 6 and Hunter are shipping and orders now cannot be cancelled without penalty.
-
The reality is that our communication has not been even remotely brilliant lately and we know we have lost the faith of many. But despite that we wanted everyone to know that we are listening, we are improving and striving to be the best we can. The support of you, the thousands of customers of whom have cheered us on and offered support and advice continually has been invaluable and heart warming, for those that have given us a hard time, you was right too and sometimes you need a tough wake up call to give you the realisation that drastic changes are needed.
-
I think we could say sorry a thousand times to the those with the longest waiting times but actions speak louder than words, so we will do what needs to be done (as outlined above) so that we can continue on this journey together of building and sharing some of the worlds best audio at the price that is right.
-
Thank you to one and all for taking the time to read all of the above and thank you of your support, understanding and above all for believing in what we do.

6 of one and half a dozen of the other as the saying goes. I can see both sides, if someone choose to back because of a solution with no wires period if could be a point of contention, for others just getting something with a wireless implementation that sounds decent will be enough. When you deal with retail you are seldom 100% in the right; that is the cross retail vendors bare.
