OK, this might be a silly question but l have to ask anyways. Are they packing it in the UK and shipping it all from the UK?
I had dealt with production, logistics and shipping in the past so I'm just trying to understand.  Is Trinity fully made in the UK? My guess is that they manufacture the shells locally, purchase cable, filters and jacks from the manufacture in China and put everything together no?

Another option would be to ship the shells to China, where they would assemble everything and they will drop ship it from there with Trinity's branding.

Trinity's parts can come from a number of places, but the manufacturing is done in China. You can't offer Trinity's prices without Chinese manufacture, generally. I don't know why they would be packing in the UK, as this could also be done in China and probably for less cost and hassle. Maybe Trinity likes hassle? They do keep doing crowdfunding and pre-orders, which is just hassle hassle hassle.

I should probably leave it to @Bobtrinity to correct any of my errors (should they be there before I proceed). Maybe some headphones are more or less Chinese than others. Bob is obsessed with QC, so it could also be that he's gone to just having bits made elsewhere and is building headphones in house. I don't know. But I did know about the blowtorching. I even had a conversation with Bob about it.

My guess is that entry level and middle of the road models are fully made in China while top of the line model are assembled in UK with parts made in China.
Not that it's that important anyways, was just wondering. It would be nice to know.

Yeah, there are multiple ways to do it if comes from China. Since this is not their first pre-order so I'm assuming they were well prepared. Having said that, shipping 5000 parcels 200-300 items a day out the door does take time.
The end users don't know all this and in fact most probably don't even care as they just want to know when their IEMs will be shipped/ delivered to them, and rightfully so.

Makes no sense to me why Trinity would just pack and pack but not ship what they had packed each day. At least in the U.S., Trinity ships USPS Priority Mail. The USPS will pick up your Priority Mail free of charge, so why would Trinity not have the packages picked up each day? There can be no dispute that if Trinity USA had shipped anything this past week by Wednesday, 3/15, that people would have received their Priority Mail packages either Friday or today. Trinity UK said they started shipping on 2/27, so I can see no reason why they wouldn't have sent the USA items either then or soon after and Trinity USA should have been shipping already. This whole situation needs clarification by Trinity but we continue to get absolutely nothing from them.

Does anybody in the UK live close to Trinity's offices? Maybe someone could go by and see if there is any activity there. I am going to try to phone Trinity USA Monday and see if anyone answers. This situation continues to deteriorate as time goes by and no one reports having received their iems. Even if everything is ok and everyone does eventually receive their items, Trinity has done quite a bit of damage to their reputation.

Also UK orders are shipped with free next day delivery so you would think UK folks already received  something in the last 2-3 weeks or so.
I think by Monday people should have something to report. So far only one member here from the U.S. reported receiving a cable which was delivered in one day.

I'm wondering how is the shipping to Canada. Is it from Alabama or UK?

I asked that same question a while ago and didn't see the answer. I would guess UK, as border services to Canada are much easier from the UK to Canada, but shipping costs might be cheaper from Alabama...

yea i only pre-ordered because trinity had a guaranteed ship date for the master (which has come and gone and been removed from the website) and i figured they deserved a second chance to see if they could actually meet a timeline for once.  i should have known better but after bob came here and basically fessed up that they screwed up, were going to get focused on their product line and get things right for once i figured i'd try one more time.  as far as possibly ordering again for an in stock item, i don't think so.  it's the principle to me which means more than the headaches, let downs and head-fi discounts.  i've learned my lesson with trinity which is unfortunate as i was really looking forward to checking out the icarus I.

Very unfortunate indeed, but it is what it is. Can't say you didn't at least try, it just didn't end up going the way we'd expected it to.

Luckily, the audio world has simply been bursting with some really nice products from all over the place recently. As consumers, we don't have a shortage of products to choose from and you gotta be happy about that.

Nope, I'm actually from Switzerland.

This is the only way to have customers pay for R&D in advance and if you don't have the financials to do it any other way it might be the only option. This way user feedback and reviews are also irrelevant for the sales figures so the risk is very small if you deliver an inferior product or having quality issues. To be real TA has gotten interest rate free "loans" from their customers for almost a year (from some) now.

The payback for the customers who "loans" them the money are discounted prices. In the case of TA though it's not really worth much as their products are hardly ever sold at "retail prices" because they launch new models instead. Surely they're smart enough to include these "discounts" in their calculations, if not they'll be in big trouble.

It's really not much to say other than if you can't lose the money I wouldn't risk it on KS or pre-orders because you are buying a product that doesn't exist and can't really be sure how it'll turn out in the end.
