It is entirely possible orders have been sent and will start showing up tomorrow, but even if mine show up this week this whole experience will have left a bad taste in my mouth.

Anyone knows where I can get a silver eight wire cable like hunters?
Will it be available for purchase later on Trinity's website? :confused_face_2:

After a few days with the 4 wire Silver Litz I can tell you that the cable already has some substantial weight also due to the y splitter. I can imagine that the 8 wire is even heavier. And 8 wires do not get you better sound. Just saying....

And I'm betting the 8 wire will be quite uncomfortable behind the ears with 4 of those thick gauge cables behind each one.  But they still look cool :)

As I can tell Trinity's eight wire has different Y splitter, probably a lighter one. It's more of aesthetic and durability thing I guess. The question still remains.

We have one week left to wait, guys.  I get the frustration but out of the few items i ordered from Trinity (and received) i've never ever gotten a tracking number.  Of course, that is not a justification.

I am sure something went wrong and we possible will not hear anything after the 24/25th.  Hell, i know in the past I always claimed unrealistic dates when it came to work or helping others or projects i am working on.  I wound up biting more than i can handle for not properly allocating the right amount of time.  Then the struggle happens and eventually the communication goes.

Its a humbling lesson to be learned and one everyone makes.  Lets see what happens next week. Then you all have my blessing to rage it up. (:

On my PM4, I got a tracking number in the US-priority mail.

No one week till all the orders are out. Based on what Bob said about ~4000 should have shipped already.

We are being treated as we are not important. We are customers for a final version high end product. Not a beta tester, not a part of RnD team.

Trinity made clear promises on what they were making with high expectations of top tier sound and quality.
Don't forget production on Master 6 and Hunter started Dec 6 or so per Bob. (Supposedly the master 6 drivers were delayed not Hunter)
As a customer maybe assembly takes 4 mo idk. However accurate communication is all anybody desired. We were not given that.

I'm sure you're right. Believe me, the 4-wire is more than enough in thickness.

For the ones complaining about the price of the cables:

I searched various websites for DIY components. I chose Eidolic equipment and matching silver plated copper wire.

The price of all parts was around 80$ without shipping.

Considering you need various equipment (tools, soldering iron etc.) that you don't have lying around anyways and you're not a crack in confectioning cables (tried it myself several times) i would consider the Trinity prices very modest. Campfire Audio for instance offer a similar cable for 149$.

About the quality of the Trinity cable:

- You can see that the person who did this hasn't done too many cables like that before but did a solid job.

- The cable looks nice overall and most importantly works

- There are apparently some burns (from soldering i suppose) on the 2-pin connectors that should be invisible once connected to the matching
  counterparts

- The 2.5mm TRRS plug could be better quality and has some glue on it.

All in all i would say a decent cable for a reasonable price.
4 out of 5 points for me.

I think with a little more practice the guy at Trinity putting them together will get better. Well, i guess that's the price for being one of the first to receive the cable.

Trinity has silver litz cable?

I can only find the silver plated OFC cable on the website tho

The one bundled with the hunter if i'm not wrong is a 8 wire copper litz cable

nope rnd is what company does itself, we fund the production, buying machinesome to make the iems tools for making iems which company owns after production etc.

That may be the case in a typical company and production. However, the PM4 debacle speaks otherwise. After multiple delays, they release the PM4 to less than stellar reviews. Then the QC and design complaints came rolling in and they discontinued the line quickly replacing it with the "Master" that in their own words fixed the issues people experienced with the PM4.

That's R&D.
