I have (got the idea from Redcarmoose). Unfortunate that it's such a bulky adapter, I'd use my phone anyway.

That's a fine view. A DAP and DAC/amp (doesn't have to be ours!) for it is a cool spin on portable stuff. Enjoy!

As for making that adapter less messy, something like that could work, no?

Is like bigger soundstage?

To quote our own nfo: "Recordings were made for speakers. Listening on headphones means the sound is inside your head not front/outside your head. XSpace corrects this in the analogue domain". TL;DS, it's a spatial enchancer.

Thanks for sharing the link, that's a good one to cut down a bit of cable/adapter bulk. I have only used my SONY WM-port adapter on my desk and haven't had the need to bend it around, but it is still a rather large adapter, especially compared to the new L-shaped iFi USB-C OTG cable I recently got for my Gryphon.

iFi Go Pod are sensational. Better than your kilobuck cable? Absolutely not. Better sounding than a DAP like my M17? Nope. More practical on the go? You bet! I can finally say that Bluetooth is reaching its audio quality potential. pairing was a breeze; simply open the case and they turn pairing mode on. Don't forget to activate the LDAC mode in your phone's Bluetooth settings, then simply enjoy the music. Android user here. Samsung Flip 4. Fruity phone users out of luck, I suppose no LDAC for you!

In conclusion, the Pods are worth the asking price in my view. Sound great, built well, battery life is decent, what else is there? Anything that helps me enjoy more the Z1Rs is worth it.
Do these have microphone for taking calls?

Yep, I just got a used set for effectively £880 and look mint. People that pay this much RRP new, tend to look after their kit I find.

I always buy used, my IER-Z1R @ £880, IER-M9 @ £600, Noble K10U @ £500, Fiio FD7 @ £300, SE846 @ £450

Only set I bought new ages ago were the X10i (heavily reduced on Amazon at the time) which were my first IEM's that cost over £100.

I have monarch mkII and S8 too, they aren't in the same level with Z1R, not even Mest.
Z1R isnt warm, not having weak mids, they just overshadowed by great bass and excellent trebles, not the quantity but Z1R more famous for the bass and the trebles, but their mids aren't bad at all. Not too bassy too. The bass are impactful but not over in quantity on decent volume level and source.
