You said you ordered a short Ipod cable from ULTRASONE today. Is that the short cable for the 2500? Can you give me a link and part # for a short 2500 cable? Thank you. Oh I am on day 8 today and tomorrow at 12 noon I will have 8 days burn in. Then I will give them another 8 hours till 8 pm tomorrow night for a total of a full 200 hour burn in. Then I will start my head burn in. LOL.

, they won against the K701, the DT880, and the HD600, and as long as i don't hear the 2500 myself, i'm on the safe side

They will stay for live

Of course, if my wallet will recover..... well let's see^^

you know, my advantage in this: I never thought they would rival my HD650. i just wanted a closed can with good overall sound and something practical for transportable use, and this is exactly what i got...

Thanks guys. I just played the 2500 with a mini adapter with my SANGEAN portable radio with I think 5 M/W out put and also with my ZEN V Plus MP3 player with 12 M/W out put and the 2500 sounded great out of both of them with no amp. This is great and the short cable will be of a great use for me. I should have tryed this befor I ordered the cable but after I ordered the cable it came to me to try my portable stuff with the 2500.

Dex, I suggest that you send a PM to Jahn asking for some pointers on the best way to get your post count up there in a hurry. He seems to be the acknowledged master around these parts and he's one heck of a nice guy to boot, he's from NYC so I happen to know him.

Heh-heh, Ralph, I'm guessing that by the time I get within range like MaZa here, someone will have decided that there are just too many H.S. and decide to move the goalposts back to 3000 posts!

So I'm not too terribly concerned with my post count, although I must confess I got just the tiniest secret thrill when I moved past 500...

As I recall, you had something like only 50 hours on your PROline 650 when you had them up for sale, M3NTAL. So if that's truly the case, you may never even have heard what they were capable of.

Anyway, have you gotten your 2500s yet?
