Maybe you should be thinking then of a image stabilizer in your lenses instead of a brightviewfinder (or both) lol

(That was a joke)

As for the 750's....wow check out the Carmina Burana with these. That just sounds marvelous.
Or Saga with the album "Generation 13". That sounds totally amazing.
Vocals so sweet and clear. Bass and guitar just takes you away on a everlasting journey. a Nice glass of wine ( beaujolais at the moment
biggrin.gif
) and of you go...woehoew...life is great on Ultrasones...

I'm not sure if I want to check out Ultrasones.....I have enough spent on headphones already
wink.gif
Right now the only money going to audio is for CDs and SACDs....gotta feed the camera hobby!

The usual English phrase is "You're in the prime of your life". Which yes....right now my vision and hearing are still top notch. I'm more fit because I do a lot of running now, but my eyes do get a little blurry this time of season because of allergies!! I'm not really concerned with image stabilization because this camera is so sturdy that I'll have some ripped biceps in no time flat
biggrin.gif
I'm just looking long term....like if this camera can last 30 years like my Canon AE-1 is doing!!

I always wondered about people saying that they experienced vocals being pulled back. Can't find that in my cans. Maybe it is a recording problem..oewww wrong topic I guess...
wink.gif

Never listened to Abba though. Your cans seem to have a strange taste then

Funny thing about complicated electronics is there's no way of knowing how long they may last, if taken care of. Some items might blow up after 2 years. My grandma has a cheap 9" Sony TV that's nearing 40 years old and still working

Guess it all depends on your references
smily_headphones1.gif
. I have used my Beyers a lot and they are great with voices.

I think you are right about that one. The only reference I have is my old sony v700 and that one is truly awfull so almost anything would sound better

(This is a good little recording EQ primer - where did you find it?)

Thanks! That is a very interesting product they have there to assist doing mastering with, BTW. I'm trying their demo.

[Edit]: I love these guys!!!

I have since did this with the senn 580; same result. The change was slight and whatever others find with burn in has not been duplicated in my setup. In fact, I have a new pair of 701's right now and two well used pairs to compare once again and I plan on doing a thread on burn in.

But, I am sure YOU can remember how the headphone sounded 250 hours ago so you dont need to do any actual comparisons right?
rolleyes.gif

I guess I should go buy a yugo and drive it around for 250 hours, with enough use, I will soon have a Lexus .... right.
rolleyes.gif

I had two pairs one new, and one old, same as the Editions, so I know how they sound out of the box, and after more than 200 hours, comparing them side by side at the same time, in the same setup both with the same material...How about that???...But don't look at me, just look around and you will find that all the Ultrasones owners, James inlcuded, whom was also an skeptic, will tell you exactly the same.

What make you think that you are different from the rest of the Ultrasone owners, and that you can evaluate a heapdhone before bruning it in?

With Ultrasones you need time, of course that will not make them the best heapdhone in the planet, as I told you, I sold mine, but it will remove for sure all what you are complaining about now, just wait and listen...that doesn't imply that you will like it neither, maybe you never will like them, as any other heapdhone, they are not for everybody.

About Headroom, well.......of course that they know a lot about this hobby, they were one of the pioneers, along with Jan and some others, and I have never disregarded any opinion from them, but not necesarily I have to agree with all what they say, for informed that they could be, their opinions, as any other, mine, yours, any, are just that, opinions, based in experience, and what is more important, preference, and theirs is far from being a universal one...We have seen here many times, members questioning their rating system, many many times...OK?

But it is different to state that there is defect so noticeable, keep on arguing, with an unburned heapdhone on the hads, and ignore the opinions of many professionals, and many owners that are saying all the opposite, this is not a good aproach, IMO...At least wait for the 200 hours...

BTW to state that something is the biggest on the planet, sounded to me a little on the arrogant side, and is not doing them any favor...but maybe that was just my impression...

I received my PROline 750s on friday and have been listening to them on my RSA Tomahawk. It seems like the Ultrasones are easier to drive than my HD580 on the Tomhawk.

Does the Tomahawk have enough power to drive the PROline 750s adequately?

Thanks for the feedback.

BTW - so far, it has been a different listening experience than traditional headphones. I will give them sufficient time to break in and impress me.

Why? Because I think this 200+ hours burn in that people claim is necessary is nonsense. Name a headphone that members say changes more with burn in than the 701. I didnt think there was hardly difference at all with a new 701 compared to one with 350+ hours. So why would I think the 2500 would be any different .... and I dont.

You can argue headrooms qualifications all you like but they are definitely an informed opinion and someone I would trust more than some unknown reviewer. Furthermore, what about the numerous owners with 200+ hours burn in that still feel they are sibilant? What about the owners that like the Ultrasones and still admit they are sibilant? You act as if there is this landslide of public opinion that the Ultrasones are perfect.

Biggest on the planet, doing them a favor .... what are you talking about?

you come off as adament here as you do in all your bombastic postings on the glories of singlepower amps. i say bombastic because for months and months anytime anyone asked about anything to do with an amp you just had to jump in with the fan-boy babbling despite it having nothing to do with the op's question or the general bent of the thread. now that is what i call nonsense.

just because you don't have the ears to hear something doesn't mean its the emporer's new bow-tie.

anyway, i am very sorry to see your limited vision has invaded this thread, and even sorrier to see that some very nice folks are allowing you to bait them, as others have elsewhere. but i am sure they will also learn to ignore you, as others have elsewhere.

cheers mate.
