Your return policy seems to be costly for the consumer and very restricted, at some point it makes more sense to resale than return. Praising your low return rate when your return policy is the way it is doesn't make much sense to me.Believe it or not, our return rate is extremely low, far below industry standard. We unfortunately can't offer free Amazon like returns due to the cost to build the headphones

What is your suggestion to change it and not have it be overly costly to ZMF? and I would say in general that's the cost of doing business when buying high end audio equipment.Your return policy seems to be costly for the consumer and very restricted, at some point it makes more sense to resale than return. I do not think resale makes sense or will recoup as much.

Just received my JAR650s yesterday after waiting more than a year and it was more amazing than I had hoped for. I guess I'm a sucker for the intimate soundstage presentation the 650s provide, I also love my VC, I'm just wondering which pads would bring me close to the 650 presentation if I want to just mess around with the tonality in the future. I have tried the Lambskin and Hybrid versions of the Autuer and Universe pads and despite them being great options, I couldn't find something close to the presentation of the HD650s (modded or not).
Perhaps the variations of the Verite/BE2 pads which bring your ears closer to the drivers?

I totally agree with you. If ZMF had a wider return policy they'd have every second unit being returned for stupid reasons like one cup not perfectly matching the wood grain of another cup or revisions to grill and rod combinations, etc. What is your suggestion to change it and not have it be overly costly to ZMF? and I would say in general that's the cost of doing business when buying high end audio equipment.

I think it's perfect the way that it is and ZMF hold their retail value very well so it should be a non issue.
They can do as they see fit, but with that return policy the low return rate doesn’t surprise me.What is your suggestion to change it and not have it be overly costly to ZMF? and I would say in general that's the cost of doing business when buying high end audio equipment.

I'd agree with @dougq . ZMF isn't a manufacturer pumping out mass volumes of headphones in the same vein as Sennheiser/Hifiman/etc and also have a lifetime driver warranty and offer a headphone that can be user repaired for life outside of the driver. I'd take that any day vs. a 14 day return window
Either way, though, I'd agree that the return policy is likely a huge part of the reason why the return rate is so low so I'd take the return rate #'s with a grain of salt as far as customer satisfaction goes. Love my VC but I know not everyone gels with the ZMF sound sig just like every other headphone in the world has fans and critics

Yeah I would give the BE2 pads a shot if you haven't tried them yet.Just received my JAR650s yesterday after waiting more than a year and it was more amazing than I had hoped for. I think he's likely also factoring in the feedback he gets with those sales. If you have ever worked with them after getting a headphone they will go out of their way to make sure it is working appropriately and that nothing is actually wrong. They can do as they see fit, but with that return policy the low return rate doesn’t surprise me.
I just want an Atrium Closed.
Congrats, @zach915m, on the launch of your new headphone. It's pretty as heck - a ZMF forte, of course.

That may also mean that those that end up buying them may have already elected to keep it for some reason or would actually sell it. It's not like ZMF is hiding this policy to anyone since it's in the FAQ area of his website. The onus is on the buyer to figure out whether the trouble of sending it back/selling it off and eating some of the costs is worth it to them.Your return policy seems to be costly for the consumer and very restricted, at some point it makes more sense to resale than return. Praising your low return rate when your return policy is the way it is doesn't make much sense to me.

Hugo 1 & TT2 both excellent, better match than the Verites.Has anyone tried Atrium with Hugo 2 for portable use case?
The question of why divorce is so expensive can often be answered with 4 simple words: "because it's worth it"!!!Yeah, but it's also cheaper than divorce...

I've been researching Black Cherry wood to learn more and decide if I wanna pull the trigger on a cherry set.
Coincidentally, visited the University of Washington's quad where they're in full bloom. So beautiful. Would be an awesome photo opp with an Atrium sitting in front. I'm open to a unit in exchange for some photos @zach915m lmao
