After the mods done by me I had a problem with my DSD's if I plug it to my MacBook (2012mid-linux-connected to AC) if I power all at the same time, the DSD turns off and only stays as usb DAC and don't shows connected, if I play some files as music player and then I plug it to the MacBook it works without a problem, any suggestions?

Also I think to get rid of the usb charge part and replace it with
https://a.aliexpress.com/_mO8cYxp to do some kind of separation of source and power like the z4 but I'm not completely sure if the usb part will work ..

Great work :)
How's difference in SQ causes replacing BUF instead of discrete section?
I have changed not only BUF643A but many other things :) About SQ - I don't understand why the Chinese ruined the top DAC ( 4497 ) with bad circuitry. 5-6 hours with soldering iron and we have got completely different player. DSD4497 much ( much much :) ) better than DSDs9038. Top DAC vs DAC for mobile phone - the winner is clear

Thank You for compassion. Two DSDs with the same mods can really show performance differences. Sadly, there is no more 4497/4499.

I have problem with identification SOT23-5 lower LDO 3.3V on DSDs Dual AK4497.

There is probably 151Z4 numbers.
I try to find it without results. This is LDO 5V? And I can put here just better one?

suitable low noise LDO - ADP151, LP5907, TPS7A20. 3.3 and 5.0v versions

News; D200 designer finished designing new amp E200, runs on Dual 18650 (2x 3500mAH!), 2x Rollable opamps, 2x LME498610 Buffers, choice of 30V or 20V circuit voltage, Vishay resistors, Rifa output caps, 6.3mm socket... Drool.

Notice he has a pimping purple D200+ AK4497 dap for himself, haha.

Where can you buy one?

@maxxkur Thank You for help i ordered better LDO for 5V as well.
Did You had modded DSDs Dual AK4497 and DSDs Dual 9038 same time in same way?
I have Z4 similar to DSDs 9030 DAC section and DSDs Dual 4497 both modded in similar way. I still can't achieve similar space and separation as D4497 and i have no idea which part of device is most guilty.
It's about Burson V5i with discrete amp section instead of dual opa1622 (balanced) or DAC chip itself.

Hello all I have a Zishan dsds ak4499 In turbo mode, have any of you noticed some slight knocking distortions at the PO3.5mm output? This does not occur on the line output. Maybe someone can do something. Everything is fine without turbo mode regards
It is as if he is running out of current at PO3.5mm Maybe replace the oamp

How many times this sentence will be repeated :)
DSDs Headphone 3,5 have big issues and needed modification, not just op amp replace.
If You can use DSDs as 3,5 LO sources for other AMP, it's ok

I'm not sure about the exact circuit in the DSDs 4499, but in the 4497 model, the op-amp is followed by a discreet transistor buffer / amp stage - so changing the op-amp does not directly affect the output current to the load.

Welcome Thanks for the answer The only thing I can't agree with is When playing dsd files, these clicks do not appear Only at 3.5PO pcm are such clicks present for some time There is nothing like this when playing dsf and iso At 3.5mm LO, they are not present in any case. Is it the fault of the software? What is the latest soft?

I think that when listening to 3.5mmPO it needs more current and on the linear output it is not so loaded and has a greater current deficit

The 3.5mm LO is always perfect for any kind of format. At 3.5mm PO, only ISO and DSF produce no knocks. perfect signal Hires and pcm signal cause clicking and every now and then in the right earphone only

The AK4499 needs quite a bit of power (runs hot!). From the datasheet, power consumption is different depending on the native format: PCM 192kHz appears the highest, DSD mode may be lower. It is also possible that the MCU does more processing on PCM files (e.g. EQ). This could put the internal power supply at its max when you use PO. It may be marginal enough to not show on DSD files, or never on LO…
I am just speculating here, but it may be the limit of this DSDS version…

Edit: if you can monitor the AK4499 temperature with a probe, you could verify if It runs cooler on DSD vs PCM. Won’t solve the problem though!!
