Playing music files from the memory card, the Zishan DSD supports up to 32-Bit / 384-KHz, and DSD256.
But, as a USB DAC, it only supports sample rates up to 48-KHz.
There's also a bit of a lip sync issue with videos, due to the audio delay.

Yes, it will work as a 16-Bit / 44.1 or 48-KHz USB DAC - and you can connect the 3.5mm TRS earphone output, to drive the input of an amplifier.

It's an SPDIF output, to send the digital data from the memory card of the DSD, to an external DAC.

FW 0.5c is for DSDS models, it's available from baidu in the first link of this thread:

Maybe @Leonne or someone else can help you downloading that baidu file.
What DSDS model do your have?

hi there! I can't download any of the firmware for Zishan dual 4497 ( moded by the Sanmigel btw), no links work. 0.4k from yadi archive did not install, please help finding firmware. old and new. my zishan is now on 0.5b, but Id like to compare it with others. thanks a lot

I think for your model it's only ZiShan_DSD_0.4K_Double_4497.zip and 0.5x versions.

Hello ! I am Looking for the people who own the same device Or similar. It’s dual AK4497. I had it moded by Sanmigel. He completely replaced the composite part as far as I know. Here are graphs kindly provided by Sanmigel.

Questions :

1. After the mod it sounds better , but still harsh, will this harsh sound go away after burning in?
2. Can’t find the firmware source, that’s ridiculous, is there a manufacturer who created this player, who must have firmware? I’d like to compare different firmware versions, how they sound, they may affect SQ as it was the case with Ibasso dx90.
3. Is it normal for this DSDs that it wont connect to PC as a storage? Only usb DAC function working, and music is transferred dedicated through sd card.
4. Who can share their expressions about sound stage, stereo width , etc? I am comparing this dsds with dx90 which is currently on the most musical but glitchy fw 2.0. And I must admit the dx90 sounding wider, softer, more highs, but less bass though. Thus comes the question, looking at those excellent parameters and graphs, by all logic, It is supposed sound better but subjectively doesn’t . Or it’s a matter of time and burn-in process, and FW as the experience proves. Has anyone compared the stereo width of these 2 players? Also by means of precise equipment.

This is just 1.10 of the measurements by which you can judge the sound of the device. And if you have noticed, then on the provided graph there are no even harmonics, which means that the sound spectrum will be hard and not comfortable to listen to.
You wanted an inexpensive solution to some of the problems - you got it ...
It's better than it was anyway.
