Hi guys, help request:

Something has gone very bad with my Zishan. Dsd ak4497 (single), from oct.2018. I haven't used it for a couple of weeks until yesterday. First: sudden random slow downs during playback, then a quite loud white noise (something like FM radio without a station tuned), with the song barely in the backgrupond, also in slowmotion.
If I restart, the Zishan works well for some seconds, then the process repeats.
Never modded, original firm 0.4h.
Never dropped, always used it at home.

Any clues?

One more thing: no sdcard related, if no sd inserted,white noise is still there.

Honestly, it will drive it better then most portable players, but only stationary will give full performance

Sorry, does anyone know which model is the 2x5 pin model used on the DSD's? I know its kind of Molex or just but in JLCPCB i can't find them

Are you asking about the header pins & socket that's used to attach the two circuit boards?

I know the DSD header has a tighter pitch, and smaller pins, than the commonly available headers & pins.

I bought a connector that was labeled 2.00mm pitch here in a local shop and it was a perfect fit.
2.0mm pitch didn't work for you?

Does the Zishan 4499 DSD work as a desktop amp/dac without any lag? Does it have 2.5mm output to iem? can it drive power hungry iem?

For the first question yes it will be a little lag, as example this is my configuration:
MacBook Pro 9.2
Ubuntu 20.04
Sample rate 48Khz (due to limitations of Stm32 MCU used in zishan digital board)

Zishan

has a lag of 150-350ms measured by Pulse Effects GUI.
