Got mine too
First time I'm listening to them at the moment I'm typing. Loving the sound.. sooo strong sound.
Bass: FAST and with a good impact. It feels like a kickdrum really (I'm a drumer), the response of these is great. The bass just feels realistic, like directly coming from an instrument. There is a move to them, like if they were carrying more air than others. It goes deep but has a strength to it, you can feel the headphones are powerful right from the beginning. What I like about the bass is that there is like sub bass, middle bass and high bass and you can separate the ones from the others very well even if they arrive at the same time. It's like having more steps in the bass. Sorry if I'm not so clear I'm french
Mids: Less present than the bass but smooth, globally these headphones are warm but it's surprising to hear so many details at the same time. I'll have to listen to vocals more to see how the WS99 do in this area. From a first listening the mids could me a bit more "open" sounding though. It's like they are too soft/ shy, at least from a first listening.
Treble: I REALLY like them, detailed and not agressive at all but accurate. They give a nice complement to the punchy bass. It opens the sound and has some spark to it. The spark that makes you smile. They are just as fast too. I listened to "fatty boom boom" from die antword and you can tell the WS99 can handle the speed very good. There is a communicative energy coming from these cans.
Overall it seems they are dedicated for EDM and these types of music. They really shine on electro. I'll have to do more comparisons, especially concerning the mids that feel a bit "closed" for my liking. I had less bass heavy headphones before so that might explain why I'm missing a bit of air in that particular area.
I have to say I'm no headphone freak, I only got 3 of them (M50, Uptown and these) so take what I say with a grain of salt
. I've good ears from the few feedbacks I got but that doesn't make me a professionnal tester at all
