Hi everyone I have a chance to get a pair of UM1 for around $80 should I jump on them? I currently use the Shure SE215 for work but would like another pair for work also. When I am not at work I use the UE 900S. I use the Fiio X1 for my source or the Sony NWZ not sure of the model.

Wow. Dead thread. Picked up a pair of UM1 for 62 dollars today shipped. Also own the Westone 3 and Shure SE215. Should be interesting.

whats the difference between um2x and um2?
 
what does the 'x' stand for?
 
do they use the same BA drivers?
 
i've listened to um2x (with what appear to be mmcx connectorized removable cables) and really like them but can't find them anywhere??  i can only find um2 and those have a 2-pin cable and i'm not sure if they have the same drivers as i haven't listened to them....

As I recall my um2 didn't have removable cable, I think that's the case with um2x

I realize this is an ancient thread... But I found my um1's while doing some spring cleaning. I have to say what a delightful pair of earphones. Yes, they are still lacking in the lower end but the mids are awesome.
