Happy Wednesday everyone. Share and tell day-- what is lighting up your listening world today? Share a picture, a few words, or both.
Had early start to Wednesday. Woke up at 515am.Silver lining is I get more time with my music.
Starting the music with the some Cantopop acaustic vocals off the LP6 Platinum JP Edition. Listening via the FitEar EST paired with Brise Audio SC 4W.

How come every time Scuba makes a recommendation I end up finding it awesome?Wow.. Couldn't go past that second number. Heard it now in 3 different iems…!
I have to dress like Will Smith? I have to color coordinate with my iems now? I guess we going to wear a lot of black from now on.
Do not go into debt to finance audio. There are very few iems that are worth payment plans. That is unless you are going to purchase more of a summit-fi iem. This is true but I don't have that much liquid.
It would have to involve a trade for a chunk of the money.
Basically once I pinpoint which IEM I want, I will sell sell either the a8000 or the Volür, then I would preferably put the IEM on a 12-month shop pay plan, And use the proceeds from the sale to pay for a bunch of it right away.
For the Volür I paid 450, then it was like 200 a month for 12 months. I paid off another 500 right away, then started paying it off on chunks every month. This was via affirm. So it's going to be like that, so new or open box from a store.
Winks. Everyone loves a good set of DDs. Though I do enjoy an EST from time to time. Got to promote audiophile positivity. Why do you think @Scuba Devils , @Rockwell75 and myself prefer DD's?

I'm still afraid to tell her how much Raven actually costs. But also she probably knows and just isn't saying anything. If I spent $1400 on an audio toy my wife's fist will drop my jaw far quicker than the D16
On the Anni trade "You're going to quit right?"
It sort of defeats the whole purpose of being portafi if the 1A can't drive it well imo.I tried it with my 1A while the LPGT was charging earlier and nowhere near as good, presumably due to a lot less power.
Speaking of gear, no picture but it would be my aftershockz bone conduction headset for work. My company provides these Jabra on ears that are outright painful if you're on phones for a few hours.
Sadly I would like to say Rn6 but I need to hear when chats come in especially if I'm working on QA/Bug reproduction at the same time

Yes this would be summit level for me, for IEM.Listening on a Legend X SE. Going through some classic rock. AC/DC and the Rolling Stones.

I want to sound that blends some of the best characteristics of the 64 audio Volur and the final audio a8000. So a musical engaging sound with quality and A good quantity of bass but also meets in the middle with technicality in the upper ranges.
I would sell both those IEM if needed and I'd pretty much be even Steven, or not much in debt.
You are a man of taste and liesure, sir, enjoy!Sitting and practicing some cords on the tenor ukulele while waiting for UPS to come with a DAP delivery
Has anyone listened to both the TS-316 and Project M who can compare/contrast?

God the VEX fomo is real
Also from twister’s review:
“VE10 vs VE EXT – Before starting the sound comparison, the first thing you notice is EXT requiring a lot more power to match the volume with VE10. With soundstage, while both bring you closer to the performer (less depth in soundstage expansion), EXT is wider with a sound spreading more to the left/right. Their sound tuning varies quite a lot as well. EXT has a more fun tuning with a deeper and more elevated sub-bass, leaner and more revealing, slightly pulled back mids, and crisper treble with airier extension. In comparison, VE10 bass has a more linear tuning between sub- and mid-bass, having a less aggressive rumble. VE10 mids have a fuller body and a more organic tonality, and its treble has a more natural resolution with less airiness. It’s quite a complementary tuning.”
100% agreed, that’s why I’ve mentioned earlier that I’ve decided to keep the EXT to complement VEX.
Also the Cleo Octa II pairup smoothening highs is interesting. If I had any complaints about the VEX is that I wish it was a tad smoother but that’s probably just me. Stock cable was best. Raphael made mids too full (a first for me lol) & Illiad made treble too crispy for me.

Actually shot this photo last week but listened Springsteen’s Western Stars again last night/early this morning with Mojo 2 and Trifecta. A wonderfully synergistic pairing. Everything about Trifecta has exceeded my expectations to this point. It’s redefined the concept of “getting lost in the music”.
Evening unwind with ZX707 + Acoustune Sho Mk1
Nice. I've been dying to hear an Acoustune IEM for years.
Just add some Xe6…

+1
Going forward if an IEM can be driven to it's best on the WM1Z I'm not interested,

Nice I was just listening to the following on Trifecta and 1Z and came to the same conclusion. Pure bliss.
Thank-you to everyone who shared their setups or something out of their lives today.
Last days in beautiful Guatemala.Happy Wednesday everyone. Share and tell day-- what is lighting up your listening world today? Share a picture, a few words, or both.
Just the noise of waves on Lake Atitlan at sunrise, birds waking up, walks in local markets with native music. No headphones.
Just the pleasure to discover a great country with very nice people.

Stunning pictures. I'm taking our grad class to Maui in March and your pictures and descrption reminded me that just today at @HiFiHawaii808's behest I booked our group for the Haleakala National Park Summit Sunrise-- we get to watch the sunrise from a volcano crater...super stoked for that.

I’m not sure if this is a common ‘hack’ but while cable rolling with my CA BlackStar’s, I was fiddling with my Code 23 and rolled the 2 cables tightly. To my surprise, the ergonomics improved 2-fold. Like I’m actually blown away nobody has mentioned this while discussing the horrendous ergonomics of the Code line up. For those unaware and struggling, I highly recommend giving it a shot.CODE'ing Tuesday
