It seems early to give real impressions, we're still getting used to each other, and I do think burn in will be a factor here. The fact that they've got 10 hours on them (Nightjar QC) before they reach you is a comfort.

I set aside my new (to me) Xe6 to dig in with Singularity, and so far, I can't stop listening, and probably have another 10 hours on them since receipt yesterday! So, these sounded great to me out of the box and continue to. It's very hard to believe it's a single DD driver, that's for sure (but I imagine that's usually the feeling when these things are done right, I've never heard Turii, but assume a similar fascination).

Some more practical observations after a few hours are that the cable doesn't have earhooks (like most Penon/ISN cables), which isn't a problem for me except I fumble in the dark, very comfortable shell size and shape allowed me to fall asleep in it, great isolation, so far sub bass and high trebles are wonderful, mids a little recessed but this is less noticeable (with burn/brain) as listening continues.

Nightjar have told me that Singularity needs 50 hours to settle in and another 50 to really reach full potential. YMMV, etc, but I'll take their word for it and give it the time necessary.

But early impression is definitely among the very best and would have made my #1 spot in last week's poll.
Is there an order link for the Singularity? I cannot find it....:)

Iirc it's not offically launched yet, but should be launched this friday. The pics you see are from preorders :)

You might be able to PM Chang from nightjar to sort an order though.

Hi Friends!

Long time lurker, a first-time poster here in the Watercooler thread. It was a great pleasure meeting a bunch of you all at CanJam NYC. I also got NightJar Singularity coming in, and I can't wait to share and read more impressions here! I heard about the prototype back in New York and was very impressed. Chang is a wizard, and I can't wait to experience the singularity! My preorder unit is slated to come in this weekend.

How much is the Singularity going for?

Not yet but I’m trying to 😜
Nice! With it launching in two days I'm still debating if I pull the trigger. All the photos and impressions in this thread have got me very interested.

I’m in the same boat, though I’m leaning towards ordering it. I was actually in the process of cutting back/selling my IEMs but the Singularity piqued my interest.

Would love to hear your impressions if you decide to order it, even if I decide to order a pair myself.

Ha! I'm in the process of cutting back my collection too, just trying to decide what to keep. I'd like to get off the endless treadmill of new releases, but singularity looks genuinely interesting for a single DD.

I'll post my impressions for sure.

My Van Nueys mini briefcase came in. Thanks once again to @Ojisan for helping me source it. Ive been using it for the past few days. A few thoughts:

I like the jet-black masculine nylon aesthetic. Out of the many options available, I chose this one specifically because it has a handle and the ability to add a shoulder strap.

The handle is made of thick leather and is comfortable to hold. There are 3 buttons on the case handle that can unbuckle to adjust the length. The case itself is light.

The case opens from the bottom to top. The buttons snap in pretty tight and it takes a bit of effort to close. There is also a velcro strip near the top which is a good secondary measure to prevent contents from falling out. The inside of the lid, sides and bottom are padded.

What's neat this is that the inside can be organized with dividers:

This divider has a belt attached to it that I can raise to grab my dap more easily.

Right now I've been taking 2 cases (1 for iem 1 for 2 earbuds), a dap, tsuaranagi + IC.
