Anyone who doesn't believe that balanced cables make a difference needs to try the Orchestra Lite without a balanced cable vs the stock one. Surprising and noticeable difference in SQ.

I agree with @aaf evo and don't find them similar. Though I wonder the diff. between UIEM vs CIEM. as I could Rn6 + gold ATOM captured aspects of Xe6's magic though leaner

I don’t find them similar to be honest. The way RN6 reduces mid bass and warmth makes it sound quite a bit leaner and more transparent versus XE6. The mid range on RN6 sounds more accurate to me and the treble is more detailed by a virtue of not having to fight through the warmth. RN6 would be my recommendation from the entire line up for the one to own because it sounds the most “normal” to me, but I also feel it did lose a bit of magic that makes the XE6 so special too. Personally, I love both and RN6 doesn’t replace XE6 for me, or vice versa. If anything I feel RN6 lines up more with Mentor. I think the RN6 is more versatile of the two but when the XE6 matches your library it’s a totally different experience to anything else.

Very well - definitely one of my favorite IEMs. It does have some sibilance up top I don't usually hear on songs, but removing that also kills off some of what makes the Trifecta special also. I've been listening to them non-stop since Wednesday. Very comfortable, the cable bugs me a little, but it's fine - I have another one to try out still. The lows and mids are excellent and the highs are top-tier, which is where that sibilance is coming from I'm afraid. I've been just trying to enjoy them, so I haven't put them through my test song gauntlet yet. Currently, no plans to get rid of them - we'll see if FiR wants to send me a RN6 to review, that could change how I feel about them.

Nice! Definitely on my “want to hear” list but for sure not a blind buy at MSRP.

There's no offical name for this yet but it has been coined "Nebula" by some in our social circles. Love the galaxy / astral theme.
