No reason to ponder letting them go-- they are still at the summit imho.
How would you compare Phonix Vs. Traillii?
Ronin and Fibae 5 are in. Ronin is better to my ears, not $2k better though
. Both are really nice. Ronin is definitely bigger, though nowhere near the Plussound IEM I have in also.

Yeah, it's pretty brilliant. Going to be a tough choice ranking it and the Mentor/Elysium BASSI am in love with Ronin. I keep wanting to pick it up to listen.
That said if everyone is going to throw everything they have into making it to one specific CanJam I can't help but think that it should really be SG. I won't make this year's for a variety fo reasons but how about if we all (or whoever can) set our sights on SG 2024? This thread is primarily devoted to IEMs (in terms of gear) and the SG show is really the Mecca of CanJams as far as IEMs go. It would be a great adventure and just the excuse I need to head over for a visit.
But what if we could get all the Singaporean IEM manufacturers here, along with a sprinkling of esoteric Japanese IEM manufacturers?

I just realise that the case is square. I didn't know Miter has a square case in this line. In EU it looks like only the small or the big case are availableIf you put 2 iem inside, it cant be fit with the iem plugged to dap.
But if you only put 1 iem, it can be fit when it plugged to dap.

I thought it was this one

I am 100% open and agreeable to the idea...I just felt the need to acknowledge a bias given that SoCal is basically in my neighborhood, and I'm dying to go to SG generally.
Plot twist: Innagurate a CanJam Vancouver...that would be my vote for new venue if one is ever sought out

Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a pair of Traillii's from a fellow Head-Fi'er and wanted to offer some preliminary thoughts. My first light-bulb moment when playing them was "wow the soundstage", which felt pretty mind-blowing compared to my other IEMs. My brain initially wondered if the instrument placement was exaggerated as I had only been used to hearing sounds on a 180 degree plane with IEM's, since the Traillii provides the impression of a 270 degree field with sounds coming from behind your ears. However, I find that it's just reasonable enough that it doesn't become artificial (unlike the 64 audio Fourte, even though it's a very fun IEM to use).
After using it a bit more I'm starting to understand what they're all about - incredible versatile with a range of music and a surprising equilibrium between detail-retrieval and smoothness in sound. My first acquisition was a CFA Ara which I later upgraded for a u18t; two analytical beasts with the 18t improving significantly in the bass and treble regions while providing an even larger soundstage over the Ara's. However, it always felt like there was a tradeoff between a smoother sound signature vs analytics - now the Traillii's seem to create a satisfying synthesis between the two.
I haven't done any serious A/B'ing but I'm starting to wonder what use I'm going to have for my u18t's which are a slightly more detailed but feel a bit artificial sounding now in terms of vocal timbre. Still, they have incredible treble and the APEX chamber would be lovely in the Traillii's. The 18t's remain more comfortable to use and I can imagine a world where an 18t + upgrade cable would be preferred over the Trailli. As previously stated on this thread I'm trying to audition the 18t's with the PWA 1950s Shielding but haven't been able to find them to purchase in used condition. I am cognisant that maybe the Trailli's will end up becoming the daily drivers in my collection, making me less inclined to spend more money on the 18t's.
Anyways, very fun days ahead as I get more familiar with them!

I thought it was this onewhich BTW has even more room to throw in the Sony DAP and IEM attached once the separator are removed.

Thanks Rockwell! What is the tour program? I'm currently in Toronto which has some decent audio-shops for Canadian standardsNice to have you here and I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the almighty Bird. Lol I think there are precisely 3 decent audio shops in this whole vast country as far as portable goes-- 2 in Toronto and one in Vancouver.
