"90s sounds". I watched Darkwing Duck with my kid the other day and realized I owned the theme song on cassette tape as a kid. Christ I feel old.
Well, when I still own cassette tape I was no longer a kid, I guess I gonna retired.

It's Friday. Stow your gear; let's talk tracks. What's the cooler listening to today?

I downgraded a lot, so I am not really in watercooler territory anymore, but I am still enjoying my IE600 immensely while biking to and from work. Today I listened to this album:

I will wait for a while to see what gets released this year, I want to get back into kilobuck territory eventually, but I am not sure what to buy. Have been considering the Shure Se846 Gen 2 but I am not sure if I would like them soundwise. Anyone with experience on them here?

The Watercooler is all encompassing, not just kilobuck territory. The only criteria is that your enjoy what you have, which you are.

I accidentally connected my D8000 to the LO on my RS8 output and blasted my ears with 100 on the volume for 2 seconds. I blasted my ears with my Astell DAP as well a couple years ago because the volume changes so rapidly when you happen to touch the screen. Anyone knows how many decibels the headphones max out at? And how many times this can happen before you damage hearing permanently? I’m sure this happens to almost everyone because it happens very easily.

I play FLAC recordings of my angry wife back as follows: LP P6 Pro > UM Indigo

And she sounds clearer than ever!

Great Stuff Dan, looking forward to those Toro y Moi instrumentals!

I'm really enjoying this new John Cale album, some fantastic collabs in there esp. the Weyes Blood one. With the passing of so many greats recently, I feel it's important to really savour new stuff from true legends like this.

The IE900 is the longest in my ‘recent’ collection, purchased in May 2021 - so many have come and gone since, not a hope I’ll part with this gem. First time with the H7 tonight, absolutely incredible - the H7 without question my favourite sounding source, phenomenal device.
