C’mon bro, you should know by now that listening before listing never ends wellI'm on my final day of a short break and given that it's raining out, I thought I'd spend time with Z1R before putting on classifieds... the spending time bit was clearly a serious schoolboy error, and I should know better by now! Z1R lives to fight another day, maybe I should just admit defeat and accept that I'm a collector and hoarder...

I'll take the Dot++ win for now in that they stay in my ears for at least a full album! I must seek out the new AEX07, I gave up the hunt for EX11. I have Azla Max just landed at home, curious to try them later too.
Maybe I’m a bit OCD but I really don’t like messing with the bore width on the Z1R. The stock tips and EP-EX11 are the only tips that sound “correct” to my ears. Same with the stock cable. Everything has to be Sony

Yes I agree. I like Spirals, but the sound is not as tight or 'correct' as it is with the EP-EX11. Even the slightly wider bore AEX adds to much air to the sound for my liking. And it doesn't do the OCD factor any harm to have all Sony, from tips to cable to source. Roaming around as a tourist in Seattle. It's the first time I've been back since the pandemic. Similar to my Alaskan trip, crossing the border was hassle free 
Of course the first place I had to hit up was Pike Place for Clam Chowder
. I also noticed that they have indoor locations now. Not sure if this is recent.
I forgot how many hills there were in DT Seattle. Its like San Francisco squared. Since my daughter isn't a big fan of strollers, I got my cardio in for the week
I've been using my Shanling UP5 a lot more since the heat picked up. Because its a bluetooth receiver, it improves walkability since I can attach it my crossbody bag. Another bonus is that it can take conference calls.
Some highlights:
The Woodland park Zoo was a lot fun. It felt like an amusement park with live classical music playing in the backround, Churros and Carousel.
It had a nice selection of animals and I appreciated how the architechs engineered the viewing rooms to maximize visibility (while keeping it safe)
The XiaoLongBao 小籠包 in Din Tai Fung

Still not shipping to Ireland unfortunately!
I've just put on the newish Final E Clear tips, I bought the largest size recently and first test on Z1R - perfect fit and definitely tightens up vs Dot++, the bore is more similar to Sony stock.
Listening now on the 1A and a beautiful partnership.
Nice. Final E don't work on most IEMs I've tried, but their smaller bore should actually be a good match with Z1R. Super comfy too.Still not shipping to Ireland unfortunately!

Actually remarkable similarity, Final probably a tiny bit more bulbous but the bore width is pretty much identical. My phone refusing to focus properly but Final on the left -

Final E are comfy, but ruined the sound for me on the Z1R.
They seem to mess too much with the mids/treble in most IEMs, even those that use them as stock tips (Maze Advar being the latest example where Final E ruined the sound). I haven't really tried them with Z1R to be honest. I think I might have a few pairs somewhere, will give them a go in the name of science.

Are they the standard Final E or the new clear variety that you tried?
