Um, it does? Tuning categories add up to 100% and Tech categories add up to 100%

This was actually an attempt on my part to delve into the utterly subjective variables of it all, the exact opposite of standardization.

I wouldn’t consider myself a “treble head” but I’m a sucker for treble detail and can’t really enjoy rolled off or what I would consider to be “wonky” treble. It is arguably the part of the FR that I tend to be most picky about.

Does ER4S/B count? I still workship my ER4B. I wish the cable still worked.
I have ER4XR, if they are similar, I would say Ety IEM does not have bass, or treble :).

Me too.

A golden IEM to me is something with warm-ish tonality (but still in the realm of “neutral”), no noticeable treble spike, yet highly extended and reveals everything there are in the mix, whilst also shaping a 3D soundstage, whilst ALSO has good “PRaT”. A few IEMs nearly hit everything here, but so far I have not heard anything that hits all of those points.

I was wondering if the Sony DMP-Z1 is still the unbeatable king of portable/transportable player.. or is a similar performance (but maybe with a different tonality) now achievable with for instance Sony's own WM1Z/M2 as source paired with recent TOTL portable amps such as Brise Tsuranagi, Mass Kobo 475, iBasso PB5 Osprey, etc?
@Sajid Amit :) .

As someone who's heard both of these, how do these compare with the Ragnar? I've read a lot of Storm reviews and they all remind me of how I feel about the Ragnar. I'm tempted to seek out a demo of these or the Onyx or maybe try the MG5-EST. I just doubt the MG5-EST has the soundstage which is the most important differentiator for me.

The bass on the Ragnar is thunderous for me while combined with the iFi Go Bar. I'm wondering if I'm having one of those connections with my particular HRTF because that doesn't seem to be a common trait that others mention.

Unless I'm getting the Ragnar mixed up with another IEM, I'd say the STORM and the Ragnar are quite different altogether and don;t really compare to be honest. The STORM is much more warmer than the Ragnar and doesn't have the ultra sharp treble peaks. I didn't find the Ragnar's bass to be particularly impressive either while the STORM's bass can compete with the best IEMs out there.

Finally I am reuinted with Jewel after a long repair process. I missed that sweet DD. What a terrible listening experience without it, had to go back to my all BA set.

@tjzurlaaa Do you have the Mass Kobo 465? I heard it's endgame.
A close friend of mine has it i’ve also spent a lot of time with it at Canjam I connected my gold brick/ anni21 and was immediately thrown into the vortex 🎶🔥 incredible unit for iems highly recommended there’s definitely magic in that thing

Yea if it's between that and that shiny new Brise thing, I know where I'm going. Mass Kobo baby.
