Did you get insurance? CanJam SG 2020 was to be my first CanJam before Covid intervened.
Don't really need it anymore because the airlines allow cancellations and so do hotels. You get a credit for future travel, but it's better than being non-cancellable or for a $200 fee.

And if you read the terms and conditions of insurance they explicitly exclude stuff like Covid , extreme weather, and government policy changes to restrict visitors. ( I learned this looking/buying flights to Japan). So caveat emptor with insurance, especially now.

Really? Doesn't work at all in my opinion although it depends on who you fly with. Example: I had 2 flights cancelled in the Ukraine and Turkey with local carriers and I can use their services and use the credit "anytime I want". Yeah, right... When is that going to be? I'm not normally visiting the Ukraine 5 times a year! Basically I think many airlines are using COVID as an excuse to never ever fork over money they received while never ever converting that into a service for said customer.

This guy was hanging out on my bird bath today. I think it's a Cooper's Hawk. :beerchug:

Hopefully nothing happens in the next 7 months that would cause any cancellations but I'm prepared for it!
it is extremely unlikely for Singapore to get into another lockdown regardless of what happens. Progress at all cost is the mantra, so, not worry about any potential cancellations unless we have thousands of deaths daily

I would run from it. Hawks look scary to me, especially their sharp stare.

Semi-related but flight booked for CanJam Singapore (and some extra time for hanging out, of course)

Will also be the first year that I miss NYC due to being only 1 month apart
‘Hope to see you there, mate. It’d be my first CanJam in 3 years if I get to go next year. I’ll be heading over there for in just over 3 weeks for a preview in the meantime.
