Not too exciting but DX170 ordered! As a DX160 successor I have to check it out. I sold the SP2000 twice in favor for the DX160 a few years back. I also need something that’s more pocket friendly during these summer months as the N8ii gets toasty.
The DX160 punched way above its price point. And, it is light. I think I will pass on this one. It pretty much overlaps with the RS6 use case and I love and prefer the R2R DAC.
I actually wanted to get a r2r dap but can't wrap my head around using multiple daps. Since i bring a backpack to work, can't see any scenario whereby I won't be able to transport the n8ii around
I hate the car naming, sounds cheap to me. Well, Jomo is in Singapore, pretty sure iems are nowhere near car prices in Singapore since it cost 80k usd alone to own a certificate to own a car
Yesterday I went to pick up the Hifiman Susvara. A really really great headphones.
After a short listening session with my accuphase speaker amplifier last night, my heart suddenly arose the desire to throw all my IEMs out the window
yeh, can't believe that $ level is probably reasonable these days for all that tech inside ... 6 way cross over / 13 various driver types, etc, etc; is either brilliant or a muddy mess. Will be interested in the reviews when they come through.
I haven’t eaten at Paradise Dynasty yet, but from the photos I’ve seen I should check it out someday. The only places I’ve eaten at inside of South Coast Plaza mall are Din Tai Fung and Marugame Udon.
Wish the Sony store was still at South Coast, I liked stopping by to listen to stuff back when it was still there.

Before Susvara I only owned HD800s. And while it's very special, there's still quite a few things that I can say I've heard better.
But Susvara is really in another league.
