I think Traillii replaced Perci as the flagship. By the looks of the teaser it's not a flagship release (which I'm grateful for)...I would love to see something at the ~$1.5K level from them.
It is just hard to beat a good cable, but they can be a tad expensive. About a month ago, I was at the crossroads of buying a new expensive IEM or a new expensive cable.
I like my PW audio cables so I went to the cable forum and the PW Audio thread. I asked the other cable junkies there the choice question. If you could have only one cable, what would it be? Every member that answered said the 1950s PW cable. It was my feeling as well.
After it arrived from Andrew at Musicteck, it sat idle for a couple of weeks, then its break-in week arrived. I paired it with a decent IEM, ThieAudio Monarch. The Monarch had not been fully broken in, only around 25 hours. It sounded ok, but never wowed me. I cranked up the break in system and let her fly. About 20 hours later, I inserted Monarch and was instantly blown away. It sourness like live music played on instruments I was very familiar with, piano and trumpet. They got a bit more than 100 hours before I had to disconnect and head for the beach. Break in amp is the 789 Drop amp. the most boringly neutral amp I have.
With this in mind, I expected great sounds from my M8 and the PW/Monarch delivered.
