The TWS + Neckband + BT Cable Adapter Thread

Great, just one more question if you don't mind. Is SQ at least somewhat at the level of say BTR7?
Got some higher end TWS recently and was quite disappointed by how far behind they trail on the technical performance.

Unfortunately, I can't say it for certain as I have sent my Go Pod back for warranty (which might take awhile if it ever come back) and I didn't get to compare it with BTR7. But as I recall from memory, I don't think I have ever felt that Go Pod is missing anything from being wireless, which is saying a lot.

I just bought KZ AZ20 recently and just received it 2 days ago. There are some improvements from KZ AZ09 pro. The volume gain is definitely higher in the AZ20 than AZ09p and the adapter is also smaller in size than the AZ09p. The adapter also fit better inside the case. AptX adaptive is mentioned now whereas the old AZ09p (2021 version) doesn't or "not supposed to have" AptX adaptive. I bought a newer AZ09p around April 2022 and true enough KZ removed the AptX adaptive.

Some of the drawback is the cable is more springy so it moves around a lot when you move and it doesn't clamp as tight as before making exercising with it is not a pleasant feeling (unless you like your earlobe being tickled )

So now APTX Adaptive is working? and have you tried them with some of your planar sets?

When it first released in 2021, KZ didn't advertised the AZ09pro with having AptX adaptive, but some people in Head-Fi, including me, found out that it has AptX adaptive. Then around April 2022, I bought another AZ09pro as a back up and it doesn't have AptX adaptive. With the AZ20, KZ has advertised it having AptX adaptive, so it should connect using AptX adaptive.
I haven't tried them with my planar IEM yet.

I give it a try using my Raptgo Hook-X and it can drive it just fine, although it does require a little bit more volume, but I still have plenty of headroom before it is too loud.
Also, since the body of the Hook-X is bigger than my Performer 8, it really fit my concha perfectly, so the module itself doesn't move around too much.

Would you be able to take a picture of them on your ears to get an idea how they fit? They seem longer than AZ09.

Also I couldn't find a single western review of the QDC TWX, anyone tried them here?

I have been looking at getting a pair of TW adapters for my Noble K10s to replace the Radsone ES100 I am using as a neck clip. Seeing iFi mentioned immediately drew my eye but £399 is a ridiculous price to ask and seems to be around 4 times the price of the competition! I think I will give the KZ AZ20 a try for a much more reasonable £80.

KZ might be the recent talk of the town, you do however want to take note that it doesn't really have much driving power since it relies on the internal amp section of the BT chip.

Thanks for the heads up, the Noble K10s are pretty sensitive so hopefully they should work okay. Do you have any other suggestions that work with 2 pin IEMs that aren't insanely expensive?

FiiO UTWS5 can be had for around US$120 or so. It is not as good sounding as iFi, but I reckon you are still getting >85% of the S at less than half the price, plus a working app to let you finetune / EQ the sound.

the main problem with these is that they usually really low power, they are ok with a single DD or a couple of Armatures, but i tried pairing one with my B2 and it just felt lifeless and underpowered.
