Holy crap balls. I was hoping for maybe 899. Don't think I could ever convince myself to spend that much. Damn.

1. That's great!
2. That's NOT great!

I was hoping for a price to be set around what the D7000 cost, 1399... that is what, 1000 jump from the HD650!? :|

For that price I'd go for a Stax rig instead, and keep my 650 as my dynamics.

What I like: it looks super cool, sports a full metal chassis that will help with bass response, and seems to be a finished product!

What I don't like: the pads are the type that collects dead skin and dust

Another thing I noticed is that the drivers are angled like the Sony R10:

I knew I should've went straight from my trip in Florida to Vegas. LOL.

Sennheiser has the resources to pull out a world class headphone. The price is also there though.

I'm not so hot on the looks but who cares about that.

. Can't wait to hear this at some meets. I doubt I'd own one of these though.

Looks and sounds awesome. But I just got my HD650s and can't afford to spend 3 - 4 times that money on this new model. :'(
