OOTB impressions of
Fan 3: This one is gonna be special, y'all.
The 3D spatial stuff is already evident even prior to full burn-in.
With the BC switch on, it has a pleasing spaciousness, liquidity and floatiness to the mids that is really addictive!
The bass is nicely textured and oh-so satisfying.
Treble is smooth, polished and overall well-balanced with regards to the rest of the FR.
With it off, it reminds me of the Fan 2... Just better.
Certainly not a detail monster, it hangs it's hat squarely on being engaging and emotionally accessible.
I am going to let it burn-in longer and listen further before commenting more but
do not sleep on this one folks.
There's recently been some questions regarding the Fan 3's BC driver implementation.
Whether the BC is an actual bone conductor or whether it's a placebo, I honestly do not care!
To me, it absolutely does not matter what the technical aspects of what drivers are doing what.
This set is not about that.
I dig the heck outta this thing because it is doing something unique and different than the rest of my collection and is an enjoyable, good listen.
Stoked!
Bravo,
@Penon!
