Thank you, my other 5 star reviews were the Penon Quattro, Kiwi Ears Cadenzas & AMP3MOD card for the DX240.

I dislike giving 5 stars because five stars could be interpreted as achieving perfection yet no product is perfect. Actually I'm not crazy about ranking systems because it's so hard to quantify sound in general, and perception of quality is always dependent on personal preference. What people want from a pair of earphones varies quite a bit.

Ordered mine when the email went out which I think was last Thursday? I noticed that it said pending but they had already shipped. Received them today and I’m in Denver, Colorado.

Kinda shocked how good these sound. Had to run out for a bit. Can’t wait to listen more.

Beautiful Nostalgia

Pros:

1, Authoritative Bass

2. Natural timbre

3. Smooth across the whole signature

3. Holographic staging

4. cohesive sound signature

5. Build quality

6. High quality cable

8. Beautiful faceplates

9. Good accessories with nice case


Cons:

1. Needs 200 hours burn in

2. Not for neutral fans

3. Might not be for you if want a uncoloured and “correct” sounding iem

4. Niche tuning

The Penon Quattro’s are a unique sounding iem with a warm luxurious signature I would describe them like a hug from a favourite friend, warm, welcoming full of emotion, too many iems released at the moment are almost carbon copies of each other chasing the Harmon target with only the shells being different. I’m tired of Harmon I want different.

Penon don’t follow trends they make them. All Penon iems have fantastic mids,the differences between models is how the bass and treble are presented. The Quattro with its 4Dynamic Drivers is, and have now doubt about this, a niche tuning, that’s not going to work with all genres, but when it does, boy! Its superb!

Well, I haven’t been able to get the Fan3 out of my ears since it arrived. I’m eagerly awaiting impressions from those of you who ordered it recently. I find it exceptional. It’s boxing toe to toe with the ISN H60 and the TRI i3 MK3 for me. All three very different but all equally satisfying.
