Are there any colour differences among the C2, S2, and H2? Or are they same shades of blue?

Not the best pic but lighter color due to the silver plating you can tell which one is the S2 the H2 and the C2. C2 has a darker blue a hint of purple due to the copper cores.
Middle one is the H2. All 3 are using the same color and finish, what changes their shade of blue is the actual cores of the cable.

Woke up today to a $20 refund through Paypal. Had no idea what it was until I saw an email from Penon saying that because they launched a VIP offer today for the S2 cable. They refunded the difference between what I paid and the new discounted price. I was actually very surprised that they went and did that for me. Penon definitely seems to value their customers and wants to do right by them!

That is a class act by Penon! 👏👏👏

I am not sure there are many firms that would do that. Bravo!

The other un-expected Serial trait seems to be being able to produce really good sound straight from a phone.
I concur. Straight to phone without any need for a dac dongle. Sometimes we are conscious about back up time, admittedly dac dongles can be a hassle out and about. The Serials have large staging by default and doesn't require much juice.
I play from Apple music, bandcamp app...
We are all in possession of IEMs that sound like crap from a phone. Yet the Serial seems to hold the warmth and detail, let alone the musicality it's known for, simply using a standard phone output. This in fact is how most of the world is, most don't even have another device to play them on!
Life is simple on the Serials...

A bit of a pointer for you. The clear upgrade to what you like about the stock cs819 cable is the H2. Makes sense it is half silver plated cores ther other half being higher end copper. But if you want the best technicalities from the Serial go for the S2. These will make the Serial sound higher end without taking away any of the dynamics you like. Wider stage, better sound separations, better note distinction.
Yeah, why not? Doesn't break the bank...

From 2016, been a returning customer ever since. Penon has been designing and building cables. My first cable purchase from them was an OS series.
They have always represented very good value for money...

I respect fellow headfiers that don't hear any sonic improvements upon cable change, I do expect the same treatment be cast upon me. I only share what I hear....

If a cable makes you like your IEM or headphone more, then it's good cable. Even the looks of a cable can make you more happy, then your mood will make you like the sound more. Aesthetics is a thing.

I truly believe cables do something, it's small but it's there for the trained ears.

Serial is not as technical and fast as Verite, but the whole sound and timbre reminds of my favorite headphone. Good praise for a 300$ IEM

Hey guys,

Looking for impressions on the Volt vs Xenns Up. I've read some ut would appreciate a proper comparison!

If anyone could answer this question quickly, that would be great - which set has more of that club, "Dolby surround" sound soundstage?

I was impressed when I bought my Serial and I got a hand written Christmas card in the package, nice touch.

Just got my Globe back from repair after 7 weeks! The bass is really great on these. I am listening to House Techno and I have the bass turned all the way up on my Lokius, and the Globes are rattling my skull, and the mids and highs are so tastefully tuned...! Soundstage has great depth as well...and height. Width seems a little intimate, but nothing too bad. They take power well, tho they are very sensitive. They sound great when I crank them up!

Anyone out there who did tip rolling on Penon Serial? Are the stock tips already good as they are? Some people recommend Spinfit, but then again I saw some complaints about Spinfit.
KBEAR 07, Azla Sedna and even the stock tips works for me. But so far I prefer the KBEAR 07 tips, the large size just sits perfect and gives good soundstage and clear sound. Tips are very ear dependent, so something that fits one want be as nice for another person.
