That's a Yes! Big Yes...
Penon (yet again) hit it out of the Ball Park on this pair!
At the Same time, HEAD SCRATCHING TIME!!!
Physics defying Scale of Imaging coming out from such a tiny shell* Excellent prat adsr,
Instant Love @ first sight (1st hearing from zero hour onwards).
They're magnificent, to say the least...
By the stock cable is already jaw droppingly WOW, what more on the tip / cable rolling?
Right now using the formidable Azla Sedna Standard grey stem, they're great!
* I played this, I'm instantly hypnotised by the Vortex!
Incredible! isn't it?
I believe one must be a sensitive person to appreciate the Vortex virtues. At first they seem slow to me ( with my back ground) but after brain burn in they seem so fast, grainless, laser cutted juicy bass sounding, and so little/portable.
Try them with space.
Wide bore Tips could help opening stage but now I'm focalized on bass performance with spin fit cp145.( I'm in the mood of soul music)
Having short nozzles they could fall (or bass disappear) if you moves and the longer cp145 help in this sense.
Voices and solo instruments are forward vs serial and this let you fathom every little sound.
Voices seems to sing to your heart.
You grandfather violins will appear in front of you in all its powerness.
The highs are so special... not even a hint of sibilance or metallicity.. it seems ( it's difficult to explain) as if it were a a "white ceramic" playing.

That was so interesting!I recently wrote a post over at ISN thread on a subject relating to your question. If you have the time to gloss over it, it’ll give you a rough idea on why their pricing are as such.
So after that I continue to be interested in a
fan og V shape experience
Globe fullness experience
Volt grandeur experience
Isn h50 for me have been wasting of time I sold them immediately.
It seems Isn are for v shape sub bass head. Not for me. I'll never try again a Isn.

Is it possible N5 with the H50? Thanks...Cross posting here also.
I said last day that NEO5 remind me of a mix between Penon Serial and EST50. It takes the sub bass of EST50 and merges it with Serials mid bass. Even rest of sound have similarities.
Asked Tony today if he could send over measurements of all 3, confirmed much of what I was saying.
Even looking at measurment this might seem like a Serial with BA mids and Treble. No BA timbre, just how clean and detailed it is. Serial seem darker in comparison to Neo 5.

Just to know... Is the DD used in neo5 the same used in h50?
I've found the h50 had a bad mid bass

H50 is the only ISN model I have never tested. Looking at measurement the bass goes more into the mids? And less sub bass focus.Just to know... Is the DD used in neo5 the same used in h50?

Listening is the opposite:sub bass focus ( very fast) mid bass inconsistent and cheap, and everything else disjointed from the sub bassH50 is the only ISN model I have never tested. Looking at measurement the bass goes more into the mids? And less sub bass focus.
Yes but cost a lot less than 10th so I'm really tented to Allow me this experience.
I‘ve got a feeling you won’t be disappointed.
In fact Fan OG sound signature isn’t a prominent V shape but a shallow one or closer to U. Apart from its tastefully tuned bass-end and neutral mids, it is the treble shimmer I love most, a characteristic that’s unique to Fan OG.

Happy to hear you’d find my post insightful.
That (words in bold) looks like a plan!

H50 — “One man's meat is another man's poison”

This year has been wild, so many great releases coming out all the time.
The new ISN NEO 5 also shocked me, much better than my expectation.
This is quite a different sounding IEM than the Aurora, I am about to start write a review on Aurora.
Thinking about giving this also a full review with comparisons to ISN H30, ISN EST50 and Penon Serial.
I believe this will be fun, and I also think that most of the Serial owners will like the NEO 5.

Color wise the N5 looks like a perfect match with the green AureThis year has been wild, so many great releases coming out all the time.

What did you sayColor wise the N5 looks like a perfect match with the green Aure![]()

Quite small shell on NEO 5, Aure is kinda chunky. But I have big ears and didn't really think about it

Very nice collection and that Serial design is honestly the nicest I've seen. This year has been wild, so many great releases coming out all the time.

If you had to keep only one out of those?
Impossible to answerVery nice collection and that Serial design is honestly the nicest I've seen.

Going to compare more directly later on what one model do better than the other.
But for now maybe:
Best treble of them is EST50, more refined and airier.
Bass for me is probably NEO 5, has the total package of sub and mid bass with great slam.
Mids is Serial perhaps, DD on mids is always very nice and sound really natural.
Why I say it's hard to decide

I can understand the difficulty and appreciate your thoughts, was hoping you'd chose the Serial and I can put my wallet away for a bit longer
Seriously though, I've had my heart set on EST50 since getting the Serial but now that the Neo 5 is here I'm not so sure. My heart says EST50, my head says Neo 5, and my wife says no, obviously
