Maybe tomorrow or on Monday we will know more…

I think 3DDs done right will be $275 or above. Probably, $325-ish.

@ehjie will Penon be sending you prototype/review units soon?

Most probably next month, a production unit - like what you folks will be buying as my unit is being purchased by me.
If all will be good, the H50 will also be purchased. I skipped the H40 over the Orb last time...

Looking forward for the Serial. I was thinking pulling the trigger to the 3DT but big shells are a bit of concern for my ears.

I revisited the Orb today after a while .And what a wonderful surprise it was. Such a wonderful tuning. I think my taste has changed with time and hearing many IEMs. The sound is so rich and relaxing and the bass is just excellent. I wonder what would be considered a direct upgrade in the Penon line up now if there's one?

Legend>Volts>Globe>Orbs>Spheres
So do they all have the same tuning? Legend is an all BA set, a DD bass is preferred. The Volt and Globe have been around for a while. I thought there were other releases after those. Thanks

I'm still suprised by how organic the all-BA Legend is. Although I am a die-hard DD advocate there's a certain amount of appeal to the bass presentation on the Legend. It is not lacking body and only lacks some leading edge impact but overall it makes for a really smooth listen. Sort of hoping more Legend owners join in the discussion here as it would be great to exchange notes/thoughts.

Serial is the first 3DD, there aren’t many 3DD I remember QDC DMAGIC, UM 3DT and UM 3DD-Ti that maybe was the first one.
Very different prices and tuning, so curious how Penon tuned Serial 3DD

The FR we've seen so far doesn't suggest it departs far from the Penons favoured response curve - and that's a good thing in my view!

My Legend is so good I sold my MEST MK II. I love the sound with all the dips on. The bass is astounding IMHO. Maybe has something to do w/ the "vented" Sonions on the bass (per Dsnuts). The MEST was like being in the 10th row, the Legend like being on stage being able to discern every nuance:L3000:

I was almost selling Mest Mk2 until I got Hiby RS6… also Crassirostris sounds amazing now
