We will find a battery replacement for our zx2's when the time comes. Even if it's a slightly smaller sized battery I think it's a standard 4.2v cell.

Maybe (Very easy to find a replacement I think)

And there are many sizes and shaped cells, I think once someone does a tear down on one,(could even use a Onkyo battery) we will know soon enough. I will not let my zx2 become a paper weight, it's my friend.:cow2:

I see one strange thing on these walkman... don't know if ZX2 had one or not (the WM1 seems to be lacking a RESET hole Button... handy in case it hangs), My ZX100 hanged once with a corrupted FLAC, poked the hole and problema solved

Hope @jude makes a final review of the 1Z aside from SQ impressions i want him to detail the follwoing (i don't know if he has experience with previous sony OS walkmen like the ZX100 f.e.)

  1. Changes to the OS
  2. intutitve Nay or Yay
  3. Lack of Reset button or how to unhang it
  4. Memory size internal (formatted with the os included e.g. space remaining for files)
  5. Transfer speed over USB in MB/s
  6. What is that Li-ion thingy above the microSD slot (inside the cover)
  7. HOLD switch options (my X1060 had two options complete lock or just touch-screen)
  8. real battery life using if possible only 16/44 FLAC or alac, 24 up to 192Khz also flac or alac (but a si am windows user FLAC preferred)

Wouldn't you just hold the power button? My ZX1 has no hole. :-o

Yeah, mine does too. Forgot it was there since its always covered with my cruzerlite. I've never had to reset the zx1.

Haha, no need to take extreme measures. Just ask me if you can't find your tobacco pouch. :D

Couple of weeks ago I found my cigs in the fridge... Maybe I'll just take a break, but music + purple sticky punch = life is good
