I don't own the HD650s, but I have read the sound signature was similar to the Philips Fidelio X1.

The X1 definitely has more bass/weight than my T1s have...

I never heard the X1.  I owned both the 650 and the T1s at the same time for a long time.  I know them pretty well.  On top of that the T1s bass is better from a quality standpoint as well.

anyone used the ALO RX MK3 B with the T1. im looking forward to trying the t1 with my fiio e11 but im under no illusions as to how that might sound. I was hoping that the volume wont be a problem because of the efficiency of the tesla drivers but then again 600 ohms might be. What amps do ye guys use for t1-portable or does it leave the house at all?

Im aware that the t1 is not used for this in normal circumstances but i was just wondering.

it will be loud enough , and will not sound that bad (at least if you have nothing to compare with)

I'll be using the Burson Soloist SL with the T1's. I do not wish to take these out nor my TH900's as they're too expensive to risk damaging for me. Plus I don't like other people hearing my music

I will have the WA2 (tung sol 5998, jan sylvania 7308, rft ez80) to compare it with but i'm gonna try it portable anyway.

Agreed a stronger amp is preferable but,

I have an MKll (which was recently knocked down in price) for portable use I stick it in the computer bag and currently using  this MBAir>Amarra 2.5>DF>MKll>T1 actually sounds very nice.  I have had the T1 for about 2 weeks now and they just keep sounding better and better.

Please tell me how they sound out of this burson. I'm thinking of getting it and keeping it instead of my graham slee diamond amp.
