  Hi folks,
 
looking to bring some more love to my T1s (currently using DX90 and/or Fiio E11 K2 ) by adding a DAC and AMP combo . My budget is ~ $800
 
Looking at the Burson Soloist SL + Schiit Bifrost . Do any of you have the same setup or can give any inputs??

No worries. I really like the T1s driven by the Matrix Quattro which also allows balanced operation (even if your DAC is single ended - it makes no difference to the SQ from the Quattro amp). You could pair the Quattro amp and DAC together for a nice setup, but depending on budget there might be some better DACs out there.

The insulation cracked and it started leaking some blue fluid/grease that's under the insulation so I put some tape over it.

The headphone is 3 years old and I think I've used it on average 3 hours per day.

The cable is fine, it's only the insulation that has cracked.

Nice photo's, I think you're probably not joking when you say hard use. Not sure how it's possible that the insulation would just crack, and how the upper part of the headband came loose like that.
 
I've had mine for almost three years now (in December), with many hours of daily use as well but they're still in what I would call near mint condition.

I'm going to get new cable and headband from Beyerdynamic soon. It's not very expensive either

That's not grease, that's your music leaking out! Lucky you taped it up!
