Are these great for watching blurays? Would a Yamaha RX V675 AVR (or RXS600 Slimline version) be able to drive these?
Is it preferable to get a dedicated amp, like the WA6-SE alongside the receiver?

For film, not for music.

T1 is fantastic with movie soundtracks, IMO.  If you get a chance to run it on a player with Dolby Headphone capability it is just spectacular.

It's always better to have a dedicated amp.

Yamaha seem to have this thing called Silent Cinema, and the Denon has a surround sound virtualiser. I am unsure if its Dolby tho, not sure how to find out either.

So how would one run the Amp from the AVR?

Many AVRs have an RCA line-out so you could just run from that to a dedicated HP amp.

Do I really need to spend a grand on an amp for the T1S? Is there something more around the 300 - 500 mark?

There is plenty. OTL's can be had around that price. Namely Valhalla, WA3, Crack(diy), Little Dot MKIII, or you could look on the For Sale classfields.

PS Mine is for sale for $550 with the Speedball add-on, fully built. Not sure where you're located though, redstar.

I just finished my Crack. I think my Lawyer job is schitt tho so I night need to order a new base but it sounds great!

Thanks for the recommendations on the hp amps, will the AV receivers I mentioned (yamaha RX-V675, Denon x2000) be sufficient enough to drive the T1s until I find the funds for an extra headphone amp?

many peoples run their cans off Receivers, mainly the HE6 but I'm sure the T1 will do fine. Make sure they don't have ridiculous power output tho, like 500w or something stupid.

You are talking about two separate concepts. People run the HE-6 off the speaker terminals because it requires that much power. I believe he was asking if he could use the headphone output on his receiver. The answer would be yes but with a great loss in sound quality.
