Would buying an A18t now be a “mistake” considering they’re over 2 years old? I notice they also lack some of the newer tech such as LID that’s offered with the A12t. Would be a shame to spend $3,000 and have something new be right around the corner.

Hi aaf evo,
The A/U18t design has been around for about two years, but we feel our A/U18t continues as an elite model in our collection. And we believe this model stands apart significantly from any other in the market today.

Regarding your question about why A18t and U18t IEMs do not contain LID - one reason is that LID was developed after those models were designed. We chose to not retroactively add LID for a number of reasons, the biggest being our target audience for the A/U18t, audiophiles. We know each of our customers has a specific sound signature preference and that our audiophile customers especially pursue their preferred sound by mixing and matching various sources, cables, drivers, etc. We believe the A/U18t on its own remains a distinguished piece of technology.

We hope this answers your question and very much appreciate your feedback about LID and your take on the A/U18t models. We're always working to create the best audio products for our customers' needs, and comments like yours help us better understand what customers are looking for. Thank you and let us know if we can help with anything else.

hi @64Audio would your more cost effective iems (ie A2-A6t) be made avaliable as universals?

thanks

Hi deafdoorknob,
At this time, our A2e-A6t and N8 models are only available as Custom molds. If you're interested in a Universal IEM, our U12t, U18t, tia Trió, and tia Fourté are all highly rated models. If you have any questions about a specific model, let us know and we'll be happy to help.

They've usually offered a black friday like sale on 4th of July in the past.

With the launch of newer models like a18 and others 64audio was very busy I think and didn't need even the black friday sale.
Until the black friday sale in 2018.

Now that has been restored, we can hope for a similar on the 4th of July.

I recently bought some Tzar's via the classifieds and have found that the stock cable fits fine and my EA Eros II is fairly secure, by my Plussound X6 and Eros II+ (Eidolic connectors) do not hold firm in the socket. Is this normal, or could there be some socket damage, thereby needing repair?

Cable rec's for A12t under $300 ? I've now had my A12t's for about 3 months now and the stock cable is to stale for my taste , I wanna shake things up a bit. Your thoughts , lemme hear them.
Any silver cable would be a good pair up with a12t. It tightens up the bass and makes the top a little more airier.

Ted Allen silver cables would be within the price range or used ones for even lower

I recently demoed N8, U12t, U18t and Forte as I wanted to try something new from Legend X. N8 and U12t stood out from the bunch. U18t was way too top heavy for me and Forte just sounded odd in the mids, sort of hollow. N8 is very similar to Legend X and U12t to Andromeda but with more bass, absolutely superb throughout the spectrum. Decided to go for some A12ts. Got a very long 4-6 weeks ahead now but something exciting to look forward to. Demoed the U12ts with my Thor II 8 wire and they sounded wonderful, very airy with tight bass.

Want to send a big thank you out to Dan Feel from Offslip for popping over with the goods to demo. Dan is an absolute pleasure to deal with! If anyone from the UK is thinking about purchasing a 64 Audio IEM, Dan is your man. Top notch service!

The Forte sounded odd in the mids? I get that the U18T might sound too top heavy as the bass is lighter, but I own the Forte and have also never heard any complaints about the mids sounding odd. I am a bit curious as to the equipment you used and the music. Anyway, enjoy your A12ts.

Thanks. I was using WM1A and EA Thor II 8 wire. Tested some Al Green, Divine Comedy, Depeche Mode amongst other things. It just didn't sound right to my ears, but its all subjective at the end of the day.
