Hi, my spinfit CP100 and CP145 work well on Trio.
So 4mm and 4.5 mm inner diameters are OK.

I'm not so sure it's a no-brainer actually. Just because the U18t costs more? Many on this thread prefer the tuning and tonality of the U12t over the U18t. The 18t is more technical for sure, but also more neutral, dry and bright, whereas the U12t doesn't give up much by way of technicalities but adds a very pleasant musicality and a deeper, more extended bass that rivals many DD IEMs.
This is a widely held opinion. The U12t and U18t are different enough according to those who have heard them that making a buying decision based solely on price=better is a mistake. Really, from what I've read, the same can be said of the Fourte and Noir. So different from the U12t and U18t you really should hear them first to be sure the sound clicks with you.

I have much more limited experience with with 64Audio IEMs. I had a brief audition of a U12t and really liked it for all the reasons so often posted here. However, I missed the punch of a dynamic driver for bass. I bought a Trio for that reason and was not disappointed.

Personally, the one thing I would not mind seeing is more entry-level universals. If you think back to their previous products they had the likes of the U4, U4SE and U8. These would be great entry points for others to get into and experience the 64 Audio legacy. In fact that is where I first started, and right now a newcomer would not have that option. The "entry level" was at $2k for a long time (U12t) and is now still at $1700 (Nio).

The don't have to have all the bells and whistles, like tia and LID, just some moderately priced BA and/or DD drivers and apex. Also a great way to increase the income stream - a better option in my mind than adding new cases and cables.

Plus, if I had the option of a "much cheaper" 64 Audio model for everyday use / travel / coffee shop that would be awesome - I'm not particularly keen on using my $2k+ IEMs outside of dust- and smoke-free room handled with white cotton gloves :p
I second this. It would be really good to see 64Audio bring some of their designs and innovations down-market. A friend of mine had a pair of U8 for a while. I liked my Trio better, but they were already paid for and the U8 provided a large chunk of the Trio performance for less money. I'd like for 64Audio sound, fit and quality to be available to more people.

Does anyone know what bore size the Trio are? I’m looking at getting some Symbio F eartips.

The nozzle diameter on the Trio is about 5.5mm. Most tips with bore size in the range 3.2 mm - 5.5 mm will fit. The coating of the Trio nozzle is a little grippy, so tips with bore size of 5.5 mm can still be used but not as snug as smaller sizes.

Some of the tips that I’ve tried that fit the Trio are (sizes are inner bore diameter):

Acoustune AET07 (4.37 mm)
Acoustune AET08 (3.16 mm)
Azla SednaEarFit/Light (5.4 mm)
Azla SednaEarFit/Light Short (4.5 mm)
ePro Horn-Shaped (3.7 mm)
Final Audio Type E (3.5 mm)
JVC Spiral Dots/++ (4.0 mm)
SpinFit CP100 (4.0 mm)
SpinFit CP145 (4.5 mm)
SpinFit CP155/CP500 (5.5 mm)
SpinFit CP360/CP1025 (3.6 mm)
Symbio W/Wn/Wa (4.5 mm)

Symbio F bore size is 4.5mm so it will fit as well.

An entry-level 64 Audio IEM would be fabulous, but then what's 'entry level' for 64 Audio? You'll want Apex, maybe LiD, probably won't get a Tia driver in a lower-priced IEM but you never know. If it keeps the look and feel of the Nio (maybe with a funky faceplate design), and sells for less than $1k they'll have a winner. They can even call it Mio (short for My Audio)!

Fenrir? Nah, i just want them to make universal shells that are semi custom or snug in my ears. The u12t in it's current form is too heavy and falls out of my ear way too much.
I actually find the 64 Audio shells remarkably light and comfortable. One of their biggest selling points for me actually.

Just got the Cayin N3Pro. Compared to the S1, it is much warmer sound. Liking the TR mode so far, bring some boost to the Trio mid.

Someone had their demo u12 for sale recently. Asking price was for £600 which whilst not cheap, was cheap enough by 64 audio standards. I was tempted but the fact a)universals never fit properly and b)I don't really like buying second hand and c)shouldn't be spending that sort of money right now meant I passed. Normal circumstances and I might well have caved.

That's a crazy price for a U12t! I would have bought it without thinking what I was buying! 😂

Vitaliy said in the recent Q&A session on 9-Sept, the new product would not be a new flagship but something new. It will be out by Christmas. He assured customers to not worry to buy existing products if they like them now. Not sure but my guess is either something in between existing ones or could be a new affordable product who’s know.

Also, he said they are working on TWS custom iems and fully tubeless customs.

Still early days but sound great based a short initial impression and feel like a good portable device. Triode mode is nice, warm, intimate tubey-like sound. UltraLinear mode is still warm but more open and energetic. SS not bad also. Will let it play for a bit longer and listen more.
