Can't say about the Lotoo from just googling, but let me do a wild guess and say - the ZX507 sounded better than the DMP-Z1? Let me know

The DMP-Z1 was the best of the 3. Are you referring to the output impedance that may be affecting the sound?

Didn't notice any difference in bass roll-off between the 3, unlike when I used a nicehck spc cable where the bass rolled-off significantly on the higher OI source. I was going to try out the one you recommended from Ali Express but had already bought this one. Maybe I'll try that one a bit later on :)

To be honest the way you described the change is kind of what I got from changing cables. So you're probably not missing anything :) And the 1960s is probably banging for what it is.

EDIT: The changes I noticed besides tighter and lower bass, was actually more control/coherency overall. Every time I went lower on the OI (like the LG G8X, anyway), you notice it in complex songs that have a loot of elements playing simultaneously - things start to lose impact, details hide behind others, the imaging gets twisted. It's weird, it's the first thing I notice in a speaker it seems, cause I always thought it was bad speaker design and part of sound quality, but it's a thing on its own.

I'd love to try out that one you got and compare one day. If similar results can be achieved for a fraction of the cost, then it's a no-brainer really. Coz lets be honest, the msrp of the 1960 is pretty insane

Why is wm1z not in the list?

As you saw from my impressions they both good and master specialists in each department 1 for edm 1 for audiophile music.

I like kmod for its black background and clear dark transitions. Good warn sound with resolution.

Romi is airy spacious vast holographic sound. The best treble I ever heard out of anything period! Really natural precise accuracy. Bg bass are among the best to very deep rumbly visceral and airy.

Romi needs 1500 hours of burn in and its only at 420 atm lol

Kmod has 1700 hours so it is quiet more advanced in that.

I have not tested romi with my noir stock cable only with pw1960 so there is new impressions to be heard!

Seeing as the PW Audio 1960s 4-wire cable and the u12t were being discussed, I thought it might be helpful to share my thoughts on these two together, in case any u12t owners are considering buying @Vitaly2017 cable :)

The u12t have taken up the majority of my listening time the last few weeks, and my initial impression of the u12t was very positive. I immediately enjoyed its tuning and technical capabilities, but I must admit that the honeymoon period wore off pretty quickly and I found myself feeling quite bored with its sound. I began to feel that it's treble sounds a little too safe and smooth. And while its bass is impressive, it still didn't quite hit the spot for me and found myself leaning back towards the qdc Anole VX.

So I managed to pick up a used 1960s cable for a decent price, with the intention of just trying it out and reselling it if I didn't like it. Unfortunately there's nowhere here in Melbourne where I can audition things, so this is the only way I can try different audio gear. I had hoped that the cable would pair with my EE Legend X, however as soon as I tried it, I was immediately disappointed. The bass elevated to insane levels drowning out all other frequencies, and this is on a special edition LX that has different internal wiring so it sounds quite a lot more balanced than a regular LX.

Then I swapped over to the u12t and all I can is WOW, what a great synergy these two have. I don't feel like the 1960s changes any particular area of the FR but it's a bit like injecting the u12t with Red Bull. It sounds more alive, engaging and incredibly detailed. The soundstage feels broader, and there's an incredible sense of definition of each sound, even the tiniest nuances in music can be picked out easily.

If you're not a believer in cables then you can ignore this whole post, but I certainly do hear differences so hopefully this is helpful to anyone like me :)

Also I'll just add that I have tried the cable with multiple sources and the changes were consistent.

Unfortunately this cable isn't cheap, so it's hard to fully recommend it. But I suppose if you already own a u12t and you're looking at either upgrading or buying a complimentary IEM, then maybe this cable is something worth considering too.

PW 1950 cable is the best cable i've ever heard. I preferred it to the 1960 on my a18t.

when these cables find synergy with an iem, they can do wonderful things.

also agree with your stock impressions of the a12, and while i never heard the 1950 or 60 on the 12t, i believe that it can do a similar thing as the a18t
Waiting on a Cardas Clear (Similar to the 1950's I believe) That I intend to replace the Leo II on my u12t. First impressions soon hoping!
