the green color indicates copper oxidation, no pure silver here...
The Thor Silver is pure silver??

Thor Silver is pure silver unless the model says SPC since there is a Thor SPC cable too.

Ok...only maybe a wrong spec in the effect audio description....
Yes i have the W80, a very good IEMs, i think it was detailed and resolving ones...but i was wrong...the U18t are something else, more detail retrieval (the best i hear even better than the over ear headphones i have), the soundstage expansion is impressive, the treble can be fatiguing if you use silver cables, but is incredible layered and detailed treble, the bass is in perfect shape with the stock cable, slam deep enough better than the W80
In every way is an upgrade coming from the W80, except in size and comfort...
These 2 IEMs works very well with warm to neutral-warm sources...

I think Twister6 wrote a better comparison between this 2 IEMs
Yes he did and I read those but since he is a reviewer and jumps between different iem quiet often I wanted feedback from someone who use them frequently. Thanks for helping me justifying the jump then. The westone w80 are very comfortable I can sleep with them on, no fatigue neither with long sessions. Great bass as its slamming and very detailed, the treble is good but not very detailed or resolving. I cant wait to receive my u18t then. Unfortunately i sold my beloved w80 as i can't hold multiple iems knowing i had 4 at times and only used one and that was the w80.

I mean the W80 isn’t a terrible IEM they are small and light and fit incredibly well. They even sound pretty ok through a phone. They are a great travel IEM, the U18t sound like a step up to my ears, but they are less convenient and the fit isn’t nearly as good, they are pretty heavy and big.

I'm guessing the 18 drivers need room to fit so kind of expected but the fit that's gonna be a problem with most universal's I think

Yeah that’s true, the customs will still stick out a bit though too and I have the A12t and they are pretty heavy.

I got an AMP 4s on the way! Thanks to everyone who helped me with that. I finally found it from “Zeppelin and Co” on Facebook. They are located in Singapore...i’m Not trying to shamelessly plug them, but they were fast, responsive and still have a couple DX200 AMP 4s if anyone is interested.

any cable pairings for the a12t? budget is 725 usd (no im not saving a little more and getting a leonidas)

i use the m20 module, but i'm looking to increase detail retrieval, expand sound stage depth and tighten bass. maybe warm up mids without being too warm (i believe warm mids and increase sound stage depth dont mix right?)

If you are still in Taiwan, you can go local and try the new Hansound Aegis or Aurora.

Oh wow that's some difference:/ the westone are really tiny

Yeah they are actually a pretty decent headphone...they’d be awesome if they were $1000 the fact that they are $1500 means they are edging into some pretty strong territory, but they’d be on my short list if I was looking for a travel IEM that was light and small

Recent convert to believing in better cables here. I was on the Null cable tour and really liked the change they made to my u18t. I actually liked the Lune over the Vitesse, (sound and price:wink:
My impressions here:
https://www.head-fi.org/threads/nul...ing-december-2017.867643/page-5#post-14158262

Would anyone have any input on, if I liked the Lune's signature, is there was a better option for similar cash, give or take?

That's too funny how Westone discussion spilled into 64 Audio thread  The big problem, as I mentioned to you before and regardless of how many reviews/comparison you gonna read, I'm afraid you will be the final judge about which one is better due to your treble sensitivity. I find U18t to be crisp and not harsh at all, and I'm using it with EA Horus which brightens the sound. But you had some concerns in the past, even with W80 sounding a bit harsh with some recordings, if I'm not mistaken? Just wish you could attend CanJam London to hear the entire line up yourself, but I know you can't.
