Hi guys,
Yesterday i listened to Tia fourte with my opus 2 at store and it was probably the best audiophile experience of my life. I love sparkling natural highs, listening to as much details as I can and the Tia fourte is the best one at doing this that i've listened. However I dont have that much money.

I also listened to 1000 dollars stuff like Andromeda or vega but didn't find a lot of improvements in them compared to 300 dollars stuff. So basically this is my question : for a guy like me who loves fourte what would you guys recommend in 200-400 dollars range? Lz a5? Flc 8s?others?

Maybe a hybrid? Flc8s is a good buy

This is ridiculous, I can't find a way to fit the earphones in due to the right angle connectors, it's driving me crazy. @twister6 looks like your earphones don't have the right angle

I just unboxed U12t/Trio last night, will update my review with official pictures. New stock premium cable has a different angled 2pin connector housing, so it's a little tricky to place shells into storage pockets of the case, need to do it angled. Here is how it works, the tips are on, it fits secure, and you can easily close the lid:

Ah makes sense man, I only listened at Canjam so your impressions are definitely more valid.

Nic, I will do more listening and some comparison of out-of-the-box vs burned-in U12t/Trio tonight. Will share my results once I'm done, but during a few minutes I spent with both last night while taking pictures, they were not bright to my ears. It's probably a part of a relative comparison to other iems people are more familiar with? U12t will sound brighter at the top in comparison to U12, that's for sure. And out of the box, Trio has a hotter treble than U12t.

Thinking about U12t or U18t, do either have sibilant or harsh highs? trying not to cross that fine line of vivid and lively treble before it becomes hard and razor sharp on the ears.

Neither will be sharp or harsh. The u18t has silky smooth and extended yet detailed and lovely treble. Never heard sibilance once.

its just this that worried me from EZE99s review *Quick Note: 64 Audio tunes the U18 Tzar using Comply T-500 isolation tips. Thusly, to hear the U18 at their best, you should have the Comply tips on. With silicon tips, the U18 sounds super bright, and not as enjoyable as when Comply tips are on them.*

@Deftone : I ever tried U18 with ortofon tips ( yes, they are silicone tips), both m15 and m20 are fine without harsh treble or sibilant via my source that is DX200 + amp1. By the way, I thinks it depend on your preference bias and treble sensitive. Unlikes U12 that is more warmer and darker.

My A18T do not exhibit any pesky high or sharp treble, its very smooth atop. The Tia is a very different design.

U18t is very smooth to me. Fourte is very sharp, my ears bleeding and fatigued after an hour or two even w/ foam tips. :p
