Anyone compared the u4s to the Fir Audio VxV? I`d be really interested in this comparison!

From what I can tell, the V x V is more of a reference and the U4S is a V-shaped signature.

So fun. And I love the color scheme. After extensive tip rolling (25+), Included L foam tip w/ M12 module strike a balance for me.
I gave up all my portable gear not too long ago, but I guess I'm back in :beerchug:

Seeking some advice…

My current daily IEM is a pair of 1964 Ears V3 CIEMs that’s 10 years old and paired with a set of Effect Audio Eros S cable. Source is a Sony WM1AM2 playing mostly flac files.

I’m looking to upgrade, but can’t decide if I should go with the A6t, N8, or A12t. My preferred sound signature is neutral to slightly warm. I do like some impact in the bass and details on the low end, but I am far from being a basshead. Details in the mids are also important to me.

Also looking at buying a pair of Sennheiser IE600 as my go-to universal IEMs, but definitely want a new set of CIEMs. Any helpful advice is much appreciated.

I would think the N8 will be warmer than you want. Have you contacted 64 Audio to see if you can get loaners to try? They used to do that for a refundable deposit.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve contacted them asking for the same advice, but did not inquire about loaners. That’s the downside of wanting ciems, no effective way to demo them.

U4s does impress me a lot. At first I thought it would be an extreme v-shape sounding iem, but turns out everything is till balance enough actually. I like the most paired with M12 module.

Kind of remind me U12t, a bit less technical, but U4s deliver more fun and playful character. More forgiving, while deliver more rumble and punch in low notes. Vocal remain in good presence, and I have no problem listen to some acoustic/vocal jazz/songwriter type of songs.
