Hey guys, looking for advice on how to repair what I think is a minor issue with my U12ts.

The face plate on one of the channels has become unsealed. Everything still works fine and it stays in place when I push in, but I’d like to seal it up. I just don’t want to do anything that might damage the internal components. And unfortunately I don’t have the steadiest hand either. I could put a couple drops of super / crazy glue, but that may be too extreme.

I always store in a case when not in use, so they haven’t been abused or anything.

Any advice on how to fix? I’ve also sent a note to 64 audio asking. There’s no functional issues, still works perfect. So as long as I seal up properly, it’s as good as new. I guess whatever glue they use came loose.
If you can send it to 64, better send it. Otherwise, you could find a custom in-ear brand where they have resin "glue", they can fix it easily.

I'd let the company take care of it. Among other reasons, if you ever want to sell them you'll have to disclose the repair, and a do it yourself fix with glue isn't going to sound good to potential buyers.

I’d 2nd what everyone else says, you can easily glue it yourself but chances are that wouldn’t look so great.

In the in term I’d recommend keeping some sort of dehumidifier with them (a repurposed pack of silica gel from vitamins/shoes/etc. would do). You don’t have to worry about dust/other debris getting in there and damaging anything as balanced armatures are completely sealed off from the interior of the shell (debris can only get in via nozzle or the module port) but the wires are exposed and moisture could be an issue. Probably not unless it’s very humid but better safe than sorry, especially with a $2,000 iem.

Thank you to @64Audio for a very satisfying service. My ciem just got back from the refit and this time, the ciem is very comfortable to use.

Thanks again.

Had a couple of packs of CP145's hanging around from when I tried them earlier in the year so thought I'd give them another throw (have been using Final Type E's) on the U12t's. Nice to have that air at the top end & treble extension for a changeup Vs the Finals which tend to roll the top off a bit (despite being supremely comfortable to wear for long listening sessions). Might leave these on for a while & see how they go.

Who knows. But there is apparently a u3t. Whether or not it’ll make it to mass production,… but that’s the only new 64 IEM that is more than rumor. At least on this forum.
we can confirm that there isn't a U3t in the works. there are like 4-5 other things so stay tuned...
