Out of curiosity, has anyone heard or graphed the A3T? It seems like a number of people in the professional space have started getting hands on them, but I haven't seen any impressions from anyone in the audiophile community yet.

How recently did he get them? He must be one of the first in the pro-market to get them as well.
I don't have the funds atm to order one. But this is definitely on my list, I'm curious to find out what benefits dropping in Tia does compared to the A3Out of curiosity, has anyone heard or graphed the A3T? OK so $1k USD would get you the A2e, A3e or A3t customs direct from 64 Audio. I don't have any experience with these; I have two pair of customs from 64 Audio - V3 & V6S; both no longer available. As I said in previous post, cheapest universals would be the Duos which are a couple of hundred bucks above your $1k USD budget @ $1199 USD, plus shipping & Border Force will probably hit you with GST on the way in if you ordered direct from 64 Audio; would be a bit cheaper to buy them locally from Addicted to Audio or Minidisc if you can drag a little discount out of them (you should be able to get 10% off ticket price at least).Oops forgot to include the currency. I am looking at $1k USD. Thanks for the recommendations! Another question, which would be better, Customs or universals? I understand that customs do fit almost perfectly, but I can also swap around different eartips on universals.
Ooo, will check them out! Meanwhile I will go research more on 64audio to get myself poisoned more![]()
Exactly, that's what you're looking at re: customs Vs universals - customs should give you perfect fit provided your ear impressions are accurate, and no more having to buy tips, isolation will be a bit better as well. Yep, obviously with universals you can tip roll/try out a bunch of different tips to get the fit you want & also shape the sound of the IEMs.
Which would be better ? That's the eternal question

Hey Theo, the A3t is tuned a bit closer to a standard studio monitor (think similar to the industry standard sound of the NS-10M) compared to your A4s which is a bit more resolving and fuller in the bottom end. The ns10 isn't a perfect comparison either, because the A3t is exponentially more resolving, but it is tuned to have that general neutral/balanced sound that you can expect when stepping into a studio. One of my first notes when taking a listen was that nothing in the music really "stuck out" at me, it just kind of all sat in a good place and I was happy with what I was hearing. Not as fun as the A4s but it is more bang for the buck than some products with 5x the driver count and price. There's really no comparison to any other three driver IEM on the market (except Trio but that is a completely different IEM design).Out of curiosity, has anyone heard or graphed the A3T? That's awesome to hear - thanks for chiming in. Hope to try it out soon!

Recently received the U12T and found that among my vast tip collection, the stock silicone long tips work best (given the M15 apex module). I could not find anywhere on the web or in this thread what brand these are so wrote to 64 Audio. They are equivalent to SpinFit CP145 tips, but 64 Audio cannot sell them separately, they must be bought on the market (in the US AMAZONhas them).
FYI I am also getting pretty good performance out of a well worn in pair of Azla Xelastic L size had on another set. The wearing in process conformed these to my external ear hole so I get a good fit with those as well. I had a new set of those tips that didn’t work as they weren’t broken in.

Tried the m20 with the U12ts for an extended period for the first time today while being tattooed/in a noisy environment (had only briefly tried when I first bought the IEMs). Whilst the extra isolation was good, not a huge fan with the Final Audio Type E's (different tips will obviously give you different mileage); much prefer the openness of the mX. I probably wouldn't go beyond the m15 in future regardless of the listening environment.

Tips make a big difference also. I found with the stock long silicone tips (=SpinFit CP145) , the M20 apex was good if I want strong bass impact, albeit with some loss of soundstage width and treble extension and quality. Haven’t tried the MX with the stock tips- worth a listen definitely. Agree that M15 is about optimal all around.Tried the m20 with the U12ts for an extended period for the first time today while being tattooed/in a noisy environment (had only briefly tried when I first bought the IEMs). Eventually I will try out the Fir modules. One of them is supposed to be ~ M17 in terms of isolation and bass, which would token my preferences.

Yep they definitely do. Have the CP145s & used them before I got the Finals; they were really good but prefer the seal/fit of the latter. Might take your cue & grab a Fir Atom 17 & give it a spin.Tips make a big difference also. Edit to add: the Atom 13 as well
