Yes they're compatible. I tested by swapping the UE Bluetooth IPX cable on my UE 18+'s with the 64 Audio cable on my A12t's (and then back again) and everything fit and worked fine.Does anyone know if the IPX connector for 64 Audio customs is the same as for Ultimate Ears?

If you're getting a proper seal and you crave detail, the m20 really is reserved for an environment like an airplane. The mX is very hard not to use, but I personally have settled on the Fir 0 for everyday--it keeps a little bit of thump in there. It took quite a bit of "brain burn" to appreciate the mX, but once I did, it's really the top of the heap when it comes to detail. The Fir 0 is close enough--you can cheat with a bit more backpressure (therefore thump) without losing too much of the ephemeral that makes the mX so great. I constantly feel that my inner bass-head keeps dragging me back from the mX...Tried the m20 with the U12ts for an extended period for the first time today while being tattooed/in a noisy environment (had only briefly tried when I first bought the IEMs). Whilst the extra isolation was good, not a huge fan with the Final Audio Type E's (different tips will obviously give you different mileage); much prefer the openness of the mX. I probably wouldn't go beyond the m15 in future regardless of the listening environment.

I settled on the Fir XL + (M17) myself, as my favorite all-around module with the U12t.Tips make a big difference also. I found with the stock long silicone tips (=SpinFit CP145) , the M20 apex was good if I want strong bass impact, albeit with some loss of soundstage width and treble extension and quality. Haven’t tried the MX with the stock tips- worth a listen definitely. Agree that M15 is about optimal all around.
Eventually I will try out the Fir modules. One of them is supposed to be ~ M17 in terms of isolation and bass, which would token my preferences.

I'm addicted to the mX module myself when I'm in a noise free zone. I did try the m20 on a subway commute but was overwhelmed by the bass level. Will swap in the m15 for my next train ride to see if it isolates enough of the ambiance while satisfying my sound preference. If that doesn't do it, then I will try the red FIR module afterwards. If you're getting a proper seal and you crave detail, the m20 really is reserved for an environment like an airplane. I went back an forth between MX, M15 and M20 a few timesand always settled back on M15 as the most balanced and all rounder for eveyday use without seek to change modules depending if at home or on the go.I'm addicted to the mX module myself when I'm in a noise free zone. Just recieved my own pair of Fourté's. My own pair was ordered from 64 Audio when I bought them in the store, borrowed a pair from the store until they would arrive. I am really happy with them! Is it possible that the fit is now better of the Fourté? I find the fit of my own Fourté better than the fit of the ones that I borrowed from the store. Using the same cable (premium silver cable) and eartips. Eartips are now new though.
Thanks again @64Audio for making such great IEM's!

I'm curious on your thoughts of the U6T, especially in comparison to the U12T. I've been eyeing the U6T as a potential on-the-go driver since it has a fully black color scheme.

I like the aesthetics of the U6t.

Oh cool! I'll be sure to check them out. I've yet to figure out how different models/ configurations will sound, BA or DD or hybrids. I've seen these configs around but still trying to get my head around these technocal aspects.OK so $1k USD would get you the A2e, A3e or A3t customs direct from 64 Audio. I don't have any experience with these; I have two pair of customs from 64 Audio - V3 & V6S; both no longer available. As I said in previous post, cheapest universals would be the Duos which are a couple of hundred bucks above your $1k USD budget @ $1199 USD, plus shipping & Border Force will probably hit you with GST on the way in if you ordered direct from 64 Audio; would be a bit cheaper to buy them locally from Addicted to Audio or Minidisc if you can drag a little discount out of them (you should be able to get 10% off ticket price at least).
Exactly, that's what you're looking at re: customs Vs universals - customs should give you perfect fit provided your ear impressions are accurate, and no more having to buy tips, isolation will be a bit better as well. Yep, obviously with universals you can tip roll/try out a bunch of different tips to get the fit you want & also shape the sound of the IEMs.
Which would be better ? That's the eternal questionEveryone's mileage varies with this, I guess. Nowadays, personally i stick to universals because no more faffing around with getting new ear impressions when ordering a new pair & also I've found since I got my customs 9 & 7 yrs ago the fit has changed on both & they no longer fit as perfectly as they once did (bodies can change over that time). I guess I could get them reshelled or whatever, but I can't justify the messing around & cost to do same.
Yes I've also heard that customs do sound VERY different as compared to Universals, I reckon I would have to get a pair of customs myself to experience the differences. I have been using TWS all these while before jumping into this blackhole, so I believe I should be able to identify some differences by getting a pair of customs done
But nonetheless, thank you for your recommendations and sharing! Definitely not something I can get out of most brick&mortar stores
